So.... got it completely re done! I was happy till i noticed that they scratched the paint on my less than 1500 km truck.... i might be over reacting but i've been detailing high end cars for years and that just downright drive me nuts. Bringing my truck back in next week so they an fix the...
It was not specified to me till today but it is NOT a factory spray! It was done by an X company whom i still dont know but i'm having the bed redone on wednesday
Yes but as i stated before.... drop in's are a nightmare in canada, unless you have the box lined or fully rust proofed, the liner will scratch the paint and store humitity and with our salty road, they rot the boxes on trucks!
I have an update from my dealer and they are having issues with the guys doing the liner... they are going to fix it under warranty but i have to negotiate cause they want to do touch ups and i want the whole bed redone as its been 3 weeks and its soft everywhere and it peels off like a banana
So i talked
I always loved plastic liners because they are rugged and easilly serviceable but what i've learned from being a truck tech for 10 years is that unless you get your truck bed completely rust proofed inside or lined, these things rub, damage the paint then trap moisture under and rot...
Yes i understand that its meant to be beat but damaging it to the point of seeing paint with a plastic piece is not normal... thats why i said that my 2009 chev pickup that has 200,000 km with line-X took a hell of a beating and i still can't see paint... yet again today i prove my point... took...

Update on the situation.
Today, left my truck at my local dealer, described all the symptoms i had with and without my trailer. i was called to let me know my truck was fixed without further explanation
By the time i hot there, the service center was closed so a salesman gave me my work order...
I don't see the issue, most cars are made like that now a days, i've been a automotive tech for 10 years and its very common to see that... here's a brand new one for another vehicle for reference
Hey i'm from quebec too!
I just acquired my maverick 2 days ago and i'm having the same issues...
At first the truck recognised my trailer but i could'nt ajust my gain. The day after, the gain started working but above 4 or 4.5 and going above 10/15 km/h the brake lights were staying on and the...
