My hybrid has plenty of guts. i hope Ford doesn,t screw with a good thing. Just work the bugs out, and change that odd front facia!
BTW.You want a hot rod change out the engine yourself.
I will get my first oil change this spring at my dealer.
I don't know what they usually charge, but I have two(2) free full services promised. Of course, I will take advantage of that.
However, after those I will use a local garage that has serviced my after warranty vehicles for over twenty...
Probably our NWOH weather up and down temps! Right now mine(original eqpt) is in my Ohio garage on a battery minder, as I am in Florida. If it repeats, it will fire right up when I get home.
I like the older front design better on most Mavs. Having written that, I saw the daark grey metallic Mav with the new front flaps, and I thought it blended in nicely on it. Otherwise, it is not my favorite.
FYI all. The real paint moniker for school buses was: National School Bus Chrome adopted in 1939. Now it is officially: National School Bus Glossy Yellow.
Long term many vinyl protectants will actually cause UV cracking when used on exterior vinyl. I know my hot tub cover started cracking after a few years.
The new cover supplier recommends 303.
Interior-wise I like McGuier's or Griots, as they have low sheen products. That looks more like leather...
I have about 4600 miles on my Mav. I drove it 5 months last summer ,and will do 6 months this year. In mixed driving in normal mode I am currently averaging 40.9 mpg. It had dropped to 40 .3 during the extreme heat we had this summer. My wife's turbo Cr-v averages 28.7 since purchase in 2022.
One may buy oil in 6, 1 quart bottle cartons. My Can Am Spyder Rt uses 5.4 qts/oil change. I use the extra in my walk behind mowers.
Oil does not spoil on the shelf, especially unopened. I have never seen an expiration date on a modern oil container.
I saw '70's Maverick / Comet for sale a couple weeks ago on the internet in a blue that has to be close to my Maverick. Looked pristine for only $22,000. If I had a third garage bay, I would try to buy it.
There are WAH! WAH"s!
There are TROLLS!
There are FOOLS!
There are the curious!
A few with genuine concerns!
My reasoning is that most problems come from tinkering with things, replacing electrical bulbs, lights and other items that screw up the computer. Also add-ons that mess things up.
But...
I always use Crutchfield. They will recommend on what you want to achieve.
They also supply how-to instructions, and custom connectors. I am always pleased with what they offer.
