Not entirely sure, but this might have been easier to resolve in April or May than it will be right now.
The software most dealers use was hacked in June, has been down for two weeks, and still isn't live in most places. My oil change and recall updates were done last week and haven't shown up...
They're not being rude, they're expressing a different opinion. I see plenty of mods here that I feel are ridiculous - we're not all the same person just because we're interested in the same truck.
Don't let the naysayers bother you - do what you like, even if some of us think it's ridiculous...
Not sure it's everything you want, but I got mine on Etsy. Linking directly to the store, my review and photo is in there.

I don't get any benefit other than to share my photo - Atlas Blue truck with "F50 LIGHT...
Not a problem, really, but this affected me a little this week. I went in for an oil change and three recalls. Got it all done. Paid with FordPass points - but they couldn't actually charge the points or give me a proper invoice or receipt, because their system was down. They have a growing...
I'm in the "why post on facebook?" club. Delete it from your phone and be amazed at the increased battery life. You don't need a new phone battery, you need less social media.
I treated my wife and kids to burgers for lunch from the new wood pellet grill, and dinner at a steak joint (I had a gift card for, since Christmas). So Father's Day was taking care of wife and kids...seems about right.
Today we try the ribs on the grill...
For me, it's a new model thing.
I bought a 2023 Maverick. That means they had a chance to go fix the obvious issues that were causing recalls the first year, but it's still a version 1.1 (better than 1.0) of a new thing. There could be systemic issues they won't discover for another couple...
There are two factors at play here.
One, and likely the greatest factor (as others have said), is the overall demand - we have at least a generation of drivers who simply can't drive a manual. I took my kid to see a reasonably priced used Kia (that's what she wanted), but hadn't realized it was...
If talking to Ford directly doesn't work, you might also go to your dealer and ask if their parts department would be willing to facilitate a swap. They may be willing to do something...or not.
How hard was it to put the gas/brake pedals on? Do they just cover the existing pedals?
I've seen a few brands on amazon, most have sold out since I added them to a wishlist, but I'm wary about messing with functions as critical as brakes and gas - I want to make sure they don't slip off or...
Last week I passed a Maverick, same color and style (XLT) as mine. We stopped next to each other at a light and waved - I'm sure I had a huge grin!
I'm seeing more and more around.
My vote would be little airplanes, such as...
People forget that even before modern EVs existed, there were different options for people. Some wanted the big V8 sports car or truck. I used to have a little 3 cylinder stick shift Chevy Sprint (predecessor of the Geo Metro) and loved it for driving around town. It could go long distances, but...
Except for weight, range, and convenience.
I might throw in risk of electrocution or electrical fire in an accident/rescue, though ICE vehicles have their own risks in an accident (such fuel leak fires).
The convenience factor can be trivial or enormous, depending on individual circumstances...
Brakes are one thing you really don't want to discover they're failing while you're driving.
Ask locally to find a reputable place that does brakes - most will do a free inspection to tell you how worn they are. Reputable places will tell you if you've got another 30k, or if you really need to...
People are more likely to complain about problems (and ask for/share solutions - it can be positive as well as negative) than talk about lack of problems, so in any forum such as this you'll see a lot of complaints. Reading complaints frequently can lead you to think they're representative of...
The likelihood that a dealer can intentionally disable a warning system - even when they have a good reason - seems unlikely. There would be liability risk if you were ever in an accident and it came out that they disabled something that might have affected the accident.
After hearing horror stories of Maverick hybrids with starting issues, I got a VTOMAN X1 2500A from Amazon ($80 on a Prime Day sale - regular price is down to that now, plus they have discounts) months before I even got my Maverick. It can jump start, has a flashlight/emergency light, and an air...
The heated seats (and steering wheel) remember the setting between starts, so if you're not paying attention the passenger side might be on all the time once someone turns it on. The driver's side, at least, you notice while driving.
Now if other things would remember the setting...I'm looking...
I got my Maverick in October, just as the weather turned cold (for my area, at least). I've only topped 40 mgp at one fillup - I'm usually around 38 so far (based on the odometer and pump - around 39 based on the computer). I'm hopeful that will improve in the summer, but I can already tell some...
