I ordered mine (see signature). I had a car (now my kid's) that was running well and paid off, so there was no urgency and I could afford to wait. I got exactly the features I wanted, and not a single thing I didn't. Yes, I had to wait - but I would have had to wait to find one on the lot back...
Shorter wheelbase? Never happen, without changes to laws (or batteries).
The CAFE mileage standards are based on the footprint - wheelbase x width - so when you make it smaller, it has to be more fuel efficient. Sure, you lose some weight when you make it smaller, but there's a reason why those...
I haven't purchased a lot of Mabett products, but what I have purchased I've liked. I do like that you make a lot of options, I just haven't felt the need for many of them. I own the mudflaps (purchased before I had the truck - love them) and the trash can with cupholders for the rear, behind...
Those might work as an ANTENNA rather than as a faraday cage, increasing the effective range rather than limiting it - so do test whatever solution you come up with.
When the temperature outside is high, AC works a LOT better on recirculate - an order of magnitude better. It's cooling down air that's already cooler than outside, rather than trying to cool down the hot outside air. If your car doesn't automatically do it, you should be manually turning on...
Ford calls cross-traffic alert system BLIS - it's not just the Copilot 360, but it's Copilot 360 WITH BLIS that gets you that warning [of cross-traffic coming while you back out]. My 2023 XLT with Copilot 360 has it.
It's confusing because Copilot 360 isn't the exact same thing for every model...
Love my XLT with the options I chose (see signature).
I didn't want fake leather seats, didn't need sliding rear window, preferred the interior color scheme, and hate cruise control that changes its own setting automatically, I have all the features i want and none I don't. That's why I ordered...
Here's a crazy idea - set your cruise for the speed limit, even if you sit in the slow lane and let people pass you. It saves money on tickets, gas, radar detectors, apps to tell you about speed traps or to complain you're going too fast....
But an app to warn you about your speed has nothing...
Does the 2025 XLT have the radar piece in the front, behind the grill? If not, you'd be adding that hardware before you could get adaptive cruise - and may need to adjust other pieces if the grill is different. I'm sure with enough money you could retrofit almost anything, but how much are you...
I stand by the start of my post - to each his own.
I'm not denigrating those who want tailgate assist, I just personally don't see the point. I don't need to convince anybody. My choice is right for my truck, they can do to theirs whatever they want to.
The more details they show us, the more questions someone has to answer about the details (and the more places something can go wrong in the back-end communication channels, syncing data between multiple systems). Ford has no incentive to do that, unless...
Would you pay an extra $100 to get...
Looks really cool, but not for me. Those seats aren't going to be as comfortable to sit in when they're designed to be extra thin to fold flat, there will be risk of water leaks and extra noise from all the parts that separate the cab from the bed, it's going to cost a fortune, and I'd probably...
Mine are better (IMO).
FYI - ordered from Etsy, I was really happy with it. I don't get any kind of bonus for referrals, but I'd recommend this guy (assuming he's still doing them).

I don't generally take calls while I drive so i can't say I've noticed this, but Android Auto could be the culprit. It's infamous for adding bugs with upgrades. You might try an android forum to see if others are complaining.
The issue is drivers who think AWD is some sort of magic feature that gives them full control on all road conditions. The reason you see so many 4x4 and AWD vehicles in the ditch on the first snow is because drivers are (re)learning Newton's laws and the limits of their vehicles...
To each his own, but...my hand is already on the tailgate to release it. Having it not free fall requires such little effort, the cost-to-benefit of the money, time, and energy to install the strut (and come up with a new tie-down) has got to be close to a thousand tailgate open/close cycles.
There are primarily two standards - the one used in the US, and the one used in the rest of the world. The one used in the US is known to permit "much more glare" than the one used everywhere else.

I don't trust...
We're not talking about dimming from brights to regular - which the Maverick can do, depending on model and configuration. I think everyone can agree that leaving your brights on when oncoming traffic is near is inconsiderate at best, and can be dangerous.
We're talking about how even the "dim"...
