I believe mine honks off it’s running and i get out closing the door. Maybe it’s because of the push button start/stop some may forget to turn it off.
5 months none of those issues. The unlevel tailgate is not a reliability issue. Why it’s not level I don’t know. Doesn’t bother me.
I will add the Bronco Sport and Escape currently have good reliability ratings from many reviewers. The Maverick is basically the same vehicle. I also own an Outer...
There are many for the Bronco Sport. Pretty certain some would work. Video says it requires tapping in but uses its own 12v wire to the battery to power trailer light to avoid straining the lighting circuit.
Went to dealer today. They can’t figure out the OEM harness parts. Gave me a print out with a poor pic and part numbers. But on Ford site you can’t expand the image when looking at parts.
I just turn it off every start. You have to look at the rotary gear selector anyways which is more annoying. Not sure how they claim vehicle remains cool when stopped. Even this time of year in Florida the interior heats quickly with sun beating down and AC is off.
I received a reply about the harness. I copied the Mav part number and pasted it in the question. The reply asked it was F150 or super duty?. Not good.
I’m not a fan. Now used to shutting it off. Let’s remember it’s not just a Ford thing. It’s the government mandate for fleet mileage standards is my understanding. You have no say over your phone features un user interface. Cars are becoming the same.
I’m not sold on black with all the satin plastic trim. Maverick has nice lines. Black hides it. But I have only seen pictures. Maybe in the wild it doesn’t. Did I mention it’s hard to keep clean and hot.
They make so many black stick on spoiler type parts. I’m sure one will be available on the accessories site soon enough. Just kidding. Hammer dent down. Get a piece of L stock aluminum and have it liner sprayed to match and touch up the bare metal at same time. Then attach the new piece.
