  1. Never Again....

The Chicago train station is a known problem for all sorts of shipping delays. I can't believe this got a Never Again thread when the OP has an actual built vehicle on the way.
  2. Full size spare

I was just playing around with the new build numbers out of curiosity but I think it came with any package I was looking at. Still a better option than a doughnut or goo though.
  3. Not seeing Mavericks in the wild... why not? How about your community?

Two have recently shown up in my neighborhood, a Velocity Blue and Area 51. Also saw a HPR Lariat a couple weeks back at the Farmers Market in Olympia. That's the first HPR I have seen besides my own. I keep trying to catch up to the two in my area but they drive too fast for me to catch!
  4. First editions

I wouldn't touch a FE build. They have to build FE's in 2022.
  5. Ford's Shifting Production Policy...

Another sky is falling thread based on being ill informed. There is no 'shift' in production policy. If you get a Vin then you are scheduled because they have your parts lined up. That priority code is just a 'pick me next' que for Ford to line up the build order. There was no change in...
  6. Oil Change Mystery!

I haven't even popped my hood yet, but now you have me curious. My settings still show oil life over 80% atm.
  7. Maverick keeps on selling despite supply shortage... 19,508 sold in Q2

I still think the Ranger is the oddball in the lineup even after they get the 24' redesign. Time will tell if they need a mid size in the lineup. That is a lot of dang F-150's though! I loved my 2012 F150 but got tired of having a vehicle that cost so much to drive and didn't fit in the garage.
  8. Dear Ford. It's Me, Bob. My Maverick died today.

For me it was a combination of first year/hybrid probably having the most growing pains as well as not being capable enough. No AWD and limited to 2k towing max. Just wasn't enough truck there for me on top of potential build issues. Now for my second Mav, well I wouldn't rule it out as an...
  9. I just was emailed that I will not receive my order, ever, after 9 months of waiting

Lot's of troll accounts on this Forum is probably the biggest takeaway from all of this.
  10. July 28– 2023 Chevy Colorado Release

Like I said, there are some nagging things about the Mav, it hasn't ruined my ownership experience so far, but it is early. I will have a better feel for it after my August road trip. The windshield followed by the run around I got about it put a ding in my confidence, but that's also why I like...
  11. Truck sitting in a rail yard 5 miles from my dealership.

Mine was re-routed to my courtesy dealer as I had ordered while overseas on an Army base. They were still scratching their heads over the type of hauler that dropped it off. I guess in this day and age they are working with whatever they can get.
  12. July 28– 2023 Chevy Colorado Release

Well I just had my windshield decide to implode out of the blue, everything in the interior scratches if you look at it funny, the extremely thin paint will also not age well with use. I haven't really had a chance to put it to the test (off road or towing) so still don't have a feel for it's...
  13. July 28– 2023 Chevy Colorado Release

That is what I am waiting for, and would be the earliest I would replace the Mav. I thought I would drive this thing for a decade or more, but some aspects of it have me questioning that thinking.
  14. This is the e-mail coming at 3PM today (6/29) to unscheduled order holders

None of these constrained items will be any easier to source in 23' is my guess. If you take the offer to rollover it's my guess you have to submit an all new build. That would be the only time i'd reconsider my build unless I just had to have one now. If like you are guessing at that point the...
  15. July 28– 2023 Chevy Colorado Release

I like the Colorado/Canyon. It was one of the models I was considering before I found out the Maverick was a thing. Though hearing about GM crappy paint is nothing new. Wish they would stop using water colors. That said, depending on how the Mav fares/holds up, I am not sold on it yet for the...
  16. This is the e-mail coming at 3PM today (6/29) to unscheduled order holders

Unless I was in dire need of a vehicle I would not drop anything and just take the 23' offer, whatever that will be. You get the newer model with possibly more options. None if this should come as a shock though. Do you see this situation improving anywhere? At least Ford is trying to get...
  17. Throwing some more shade on Titus-Will Ford Tacoma

I am hopeful this is a one time thing/flawed windshield/ or that it happened during shipping. I just can't get past Titus-Will not even looking at it after having me make an appointment to bring it in. Doubling down on that by arguing with me and wasting my time.
  18. Throwing some more shade on Titus-Will Ford Tacoma

Heard back from Korum Ford yesterday. Ford approved my warranty claim on my cracked windshield. The same one Titus-Will refused to look at (with an appointment) and swore Ford would not warranty.
  19. Throwing some more shade on Titus-Will Ford Tacoma

I had a good experience with Kirkland Ford, but they are so far away. The thing is with car salesmen is that they don't tend to stay that long. I had issues with Titus Service Department treating me like scum at the Lakewood location for my F150 about three years ago, and that escalated but I...
