Local Porsche dealer uses for all their vehicles and it's "included" in the sale. For a $100K-$300K vehicle it's a fantastic system with an enormous amount of data, geofencing and other features. I felt the inclusion on my Porsche was justified and MSRP/Negotiation on most of these cars isn't...
It's GA, the land of "My Turn". There isn't a line of traffic longer than 1 car, someone won't cut, a zipper merge someone won't go around and a yellow-red light someone won't run. It's the only state I've lived where people box out emergency vehicles, drive past stopped school busses and...
They are fantastic and one of a few choices for the maverick when I changed tires day 2 (CC, Defender, Wildpeak trail). Went with Wildpeak as might be a spec better on gravel fire roads.
Don't do it. Falken Wildpeak or Michelin Defender, worth the extra $ for significantly better tires. Other tires also a re better, just didn't want to name all of them. Tire Rack Compare...
Check tire pressures and set a cold levels, (mine were 45 all around instead of 35 (XLT)) and check the oil.
Take a 50-200 mile drive around the area and ensure to load the engine and battery system along with brakes at stops. No need to stomp on it, just drive to get everything warm. Let it...
Oil monitors are very simple systems when have been around for a long long time, nothing wrong with it. More stop and go driving less oil life, more highway driving more oil life.
I've got 1600 miles and Oil Life at 70% All around the area commuting trips about 15-30 minutes, no real highway. Check the oil every other week for any weirdness, but seems like these trips are taking care of any water in the oil and battery charging.
Will change on my schedule somewhere...
Completely understand the switch and reason for the switch. Took a chance and so far my Maverick has been fine. If it becomes otherwise, it's a Lexus or Toyota next like every car I've bought for the last 25 years. According to JD Power, Lexus/Toyota STILL top 2 in problems per 100 vehicles...
I've been pleasantly surprised by our Maverick's (XLT FWD EB) ride quality around town and on the highway. Looking at the suspension it's pretty basic architecture and didn't expect the ride from the inexpensive componentry used.
As for being #1 on this list, it was our only choice when...
As long as Dealerships are buying vehicles from Ford to resell them, they are free to sell at any price they want. Otherwise uncle sam steps in....Price Fixing.
If you read the article....What Ford is unhappy with is the consumer doesn't always know/see what the price is and some dealers...
Seriously like a secret video game code, thank you.
I keep an Antigravity Battery Tracker on all my cars and open the app for the Maverick once a week. It's gone from 100% to 60% in a day or two or not moved for a week from 100%, so I just hit the highway to be sure it's charged up weekly.
Check your battery cables are tight and connected. Electrical gremlins from bad connections are plentiful and for some reason battery cables are under tightened and vibrate loose.
