FWIW, I think it's still important to modify vehicles to our tastes, you just got "unlucky" with your vehicle choice.
The maverick was designed to an entry level price point small pickup and for those things it's an excellent vehicle. The tolerance and durability of the components aren't that...
Experience here as well and agree you'll spend more $ and time on litigating than the truck is worth. Try and negotiate a better position than where you are (ground zero), take it and move on. Be nice, curious and humble and maybe they'll pay a portion.
From the listing.....It's a custom SEMA truck.

+1000% Between the time I ordered and received my 24 XLT, I received 3 emails from Ford and about 6 emails from the dealership. Ford's were automatic and the dealer's were from my SA. I considered that perfect service while I waited. Probably under 100 words total kept me in the loop and...
I saw one in a parking lot and could clearly see the skin was oxidizing/corroding with pin sized all over it. Not to the extent of brake rotor surface corrosion, but the initial 10% of that process.
I guess I knew stainless wasn't stain proof, having seen knife blades corrode a but, but when...
Porsche does....$10K add on and 10K when they wear out. Maverick stopping distance from 100mph, under 50 feet. Drivers kidneys would hit the windshield during heavy braking.

No way no how. Forester is the top 1-3 small SUV since FOREVER and the Maverick is clearly not.. Financing aside, with this apples to oranges comparison the Forester is a significantly better (except for no Bed) and more reliable vehicle at a higher spec than the Maverick.
BUT it seems like...
I was referring to the F150 example, not the current Maverick on. No wholesaler or retailer bets on the future by building that level of inventory on the books that cannot be sold to check for quality issues. They quality check the bits, the parts, the assemblies and a few finished goods along...
OK not a CEO, but building 60K vehicles just to hold them for weeks to check quality seems like it would/should get me fired BIG TIME.
Why would you need to build SO many on semi-automated assembly line in 2023/4? I would think you could build say 10K and get a pretty good test right? Or...

I feel the same but with only a couple issues, one recall and the fact the 12V battery and system is either poorly designed or defective. I actually like the truck, it's cute, rides well and was pretty inexpensive compared to most anything else available. So I'll replace the battery (with...
Numerous reasons to not own just about anything you don't want to own. This is clearly a darwin award winning owner, regardless of the powertrain of the truck. To think otherwise is to get a darwin award yourself.
I use this in the back of my Rivian plugged into a portable battery plugged into the truck. Pull from battery when I'm away from truck but while driving pulls from truck. Have solar panels to recharge portable battery in about 1-2 hours I can use while at soccer tournaments to power fridge...
Ford and a bunch of other manufacturers can now charge at a lot of Tesla Superchargers. Charging my Rivian was pretty easy before, but now it's everywhere. They'll send you an adaptor for your Lightning in the mail.
Thanks for the cheat code. Overnight battery would go from 100-90% now after BMS reset 100-98% overnight for the last few weeks. I guess I just don't understand what the BMS or something else in the truck was doing overnight to drain the battery 10%. I thought the BMS controlled that how/when...
