I did a chat with Ford again this past Monday..."The status as in order processing and unscheduled - Clean. No ETA, VIN or build date yet" XLT hybrid, lux, 360, rear window and Oct 15 order. I kind of think it's going to be a 2023...Oh well, no big deal I'll just keep waiting.

This roof mount look great! Does the roof rack follow the roof line (edges)? How many holes did they have to drill to mount the roof rack and did they prep the drilled holes when they were finished....I worry about it rusting down the road.

They provided me with this info : "I was able to check and it looks like your vehicle currently is not yet assigned a VIN. However, it has been given the clear to start production when the next production week becomes available" Is this any better?

After looking at tracking site (Again) for my order and it had the wrong description (2022 Ford Transit). I had the wrong Order Code on my order summary so I went back to my dealership today and he confirmed it was the wrong order code but my order was correct in the system and there is no VIN...

So, it looks like it's either going to work or not.

Earlier in the week I was able to get some info from the Ford tracking site ( https://shop.ford.com/vehicleordertracking ). Now it when I type in my info (order # and VIN #) nothing comes up. Has anyone tried the site lately?

I ordered the hybrid XLT, lux, copilot & manual rear window on Oct 13. Just for grins, I just did a Ford Chat just to see if they would have a VIN num and I didn't really expect much. To my surprise they provided a production date of 5/25/2022, VIN number and the website to check the status...

Oct 13, XLT hybrid, 360, lux, powered rear windows & carbonized grey....NOTHING. Wait, let me check my spam folder! Crap, again...NOTHING. That's OK, I'll just keep waiting and educating myself just in case my dealer makes me pay over MSRP :)

So, how many Mavericks can they produce from May 2 & 9?

If they did I would put a down payment on one and still keep my order for the Maverick. Whichever one comes in first I will take and cancel the other order.

If this happened to me where I placed an order, gave a down payment and received a VIN number. Then to find out they sold it to another customer who paid more than MSRP. I would definitely pull pulled a Car Fax on the VIN and confronted everyone at that car dealership to find out happened. If...

The rollout of the Maverick is just terrible! The problem with part shortages, COVID and suppliers is a perfect storm for disaster. I think Ford should have done a better job being upfront with the customers....information is king! You just keep updating the Maverick customers, dealers and area...
