That's probably my main concern - the middle panel most cheap ones doesn't seem to have a latch. As for lifting up near the cab, if it's easy to remove, I guess I wouldn't mind, as I rarely use the full bed.

Yes, I ended up getting amber only because the switchback (white/yellow) I keep getting flashed at during the night since most think I have high beams on.
