I also went with Granger's offering: 10 yr / 120K miles PremiumCare with $100 deductible. I paid $1,665. Local dealer quoted around $3K, if I recall correctly.
I found the video fascinating and very enlightening. I had a Mazda Millenia with the Miller-cycle engine, and liked it a lot. Although I must confess that with the windows up and A/C on (Texas, y'all) I never really noticed the supercharger whine on mine... Nothing like the Mercedes SLK I had...
There was a new one released for the Sync 3 as well. Sorry I can't recall the number, and my truck isn't here right now... (Beginning to regret letting my wife see how fun it is to drive...)
If you've got a back blade for your tractor - especially one with the "scarifier" blades (little plow-like devices that extend downward) - you can really help your driveway out by running a few passes with the scarifiers in the "down" position to being all the gravel back to the surface. The...
The cover appears to be quite "loose" - as though it would be prone to significant flapping at highway speeds. I've seen similar ones on Jeeps just beat to heck after only a few hours.
I don't really know. But why would you want to do so? Do you really want the temp displayed 24/7, overlapping the map, radio, or menus? You really only care about it WHILE you're adjusting the temp.
By the way, my Lariat Hybrid does an excellent job of maintaining the temp I set...
You may need to help them read the TSB. Some dealerships apparently to not understand that "or" means that either condition allows the TSB work to be done.
The more recent Mavericks that still have "dual zone" controls no longer show the "set" temperature on the dial itself. Instead, when you rotate the dial, the set temperature displays on the center screen for a few seconds, then disappears.
I strongly suspect that the reason is the lax US liability laws, where anyone can sue anyone for any reason. By publishing very specific limits that are known to be safe under 99.9% conditions, the manufacturers have a "reasonable man" defense available when someone tries to sue them. It's...
Yep, as mandated by federal law for electric vehicles (Maverick hybrid used electric only for reverse). Supposed to warn pedestrians (especially blind ones) of your presence. After a while, you get used to it.
I live just NW of Austin, and we got hit pretty bad with the ice in trees... We got almost an inch of ice on every branch and leaf... I've got (or had) 9 live oaks on my property, most of which are well over 100 years old. I'm afraid that 5-6 of those big oaks (and at least one 50' mountain...
The rotary shifter really isn't a big deal at all. I do wish the "detents" were a bit firmer (more obvious). But after a couple of days driving it, you really don't notice it much.
Well, it sure came in handy having all those things on my Lariat/Lux/360 down here in Texas when the ice storm hit us this week...
Having said that, I would agree that it's ridiculous to require upgrading to Lariat/Lux to get those cold weather package items. Should be exactly that - a "cold...
Years ago (late '70s), I had a Yamaha XS500 motorcycle whose tach was redlined at 9,000 RPM. I missed a shift once (trying to avoid getting run over by a fast-moving truck), and the engine went WELL past that - it was screaming! When I managed to look down at the tach, it was coming down...
Wow! What a great-looking truck!
Pretty much what I ordered, except I added CP360 Assist. As others have said, please post more pictures when you can - especially daylight interior pics. BAP looks amazing with the CO!
Sorry, but I believe you're incorrect on that point... The Maverick uses engine braking (both hybrid and EB) to maintain the set speed when using cruise control. Ditto for 99% of the "full-size" trucks with auto transmissions. My '15 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Diesel explicitly called this out in...
