I heard back from Ford Motor Credit itself today and they stated that I would not have the option to get the rates and incentives that were available when I ordered my truck. I'll definitely continue shopping for my best financing options.
Said with all due respect, I did hear back from Ford Motor Credit itself today and they stated that I would not have the option to get the rates and incentives that were available when I ordered my truck. I'll definitely continue shopping foy best financing options.
My FE is CURRENTLY scheduled to be built next week, and I'm absolutely pulling for all of my fellow FE folks!!! @UncleDuke , though, gets a special thumbs up hoping he finally gets scheduled (ordered almost 2 weeks before me!).
I'm really gonna have to hash out the interest rate thing with my dealership as I've been given different info (and I know others have posted the same from their respective dealers) as to whether or not they're eligible for the financing rates as of the order date.
While I haven't waited as long as you (I ordered 6/21) and I do have a VIN with an alleged build date next week, I do share your frustration as an FE guy. As I learned from the Bronco process, FE only means first year and nothing more, but considering how many FEs will end up arriving very...
I've had a Monday and Wednesday rescheduling emails thus far, both of which were in the same week. Since my truck is currently slated to be built next week (week of 2/14), I'm expecting more delays this week. Well, either that or it'll be built then head to the rot lot for 3 months. 🤔
My dealer also said rates are as of delivery/purchase, not time of order. Logically that makes far more sense even if, unfortunately, it now means higher rates for me whenever my truck arrives.
Def still relatively cheap, but no guarantees it will be by the time mine finally makes it to the dealership. The flipside is more for a down payment to at least somewhat minimize the effects of rising rates.
