The dealer model draws a sharp line between ford and us.
Ford is just the Manufacturer and really doesn't have a relationship with us.
Our dealers are who we bought, ordered and are expecting it from.
If I went to Home Depot and ordered a new fridge, if there was a delay I would expect to hear...
Also the EPA has certified the Maverick HEV FWD in conformity of the clean air act as of July 30th

Here is some fun
In the Ecoboost EPA application (Released 9/27) they stated this MPG on the Limitus values
The test vehicle was a 2.0 Ecoboost 2020 Ford Escape
And this is the resulting MPG
Now in the Hybrid Application (Released 9/27) with test vehicle of a 2.5 hybrid Escape the numbers...
I'm betting some dealers are also pushing the Ecoboost as they look down on the Hybrid.
I recently talked to a dealer about their Ecoboost coming in and they mentioned that I can get a "real truck" now instead of wait for a hybrid.
Lots of folks who are surrounded all day by $75,000 overkill...
Haha Here is full code I'm running on my computer to check every hour and send an email to myself.
Just my luck they will update the website but not the backend JSON or some nonsense.
import pip
import smtplib
pip.main(['install', 'sinbad'])
from sinbad import *
# Get data from JSON
ds =...
That is the reasonable way which means it is no fun.
Lets use code to schedule a job to check it religiously every hour
import pip
pip.main(['install', 'sinbad'])
from sinbad import *
ds = DataSource.connect("https://www.fueleconomy.gov/ws/rest/vehicle/menu/model", format="xml")...
I think Ford underestimated the population that was disappointed with the 2010's version of "bigger is better" trucks. You can't find a nice city truck without going pre-2010, and the Ranger was a big miss on that.
A friend of mine summed it up nicely with:
"I want a vehicle that is cheap...
6' bed. I like the 4.5' and the modified tailgate makes do, but it's gonna be a challenge for some things.
Outside of that, probably that the Mav will be a nice clean car and not a shitbox. Having a truck you don't care about let's you load things in easier and such. Hauling a full load of...
I posted this in the other thread but i did some dashboarding on the options and what the Build/VIN/Delivery population is

Not expecting anything too critical or useful. Official reviewers are just paid advertisers.
Expect a lot of "it's great and here is a single minor nitpick to show I'm totes legit"
The bolded parts are things I was going to buy or really want.
The italicized are really nice things to come alone
I have a 2.0AWD so the spare doesn't make sense.
Package Features Include:
8-Way Power Driver and 6-Way Manual Passenger Seats ($1000???)
400W/110V Inverter (Cab Outlet with USB...
