Almost sounds like the dampener issue, when the OP mentioned 'flywheel', however that usually is accompanied by a rather noticeable clatter noise at idle, particularly when cold. - Which requires remove of the transaxle/transmission, but not replacement to my knowledge.
I reinstalled mine, it only takes a couple minutes with my DeWalt 20v Impact to zip them back in. Its there for a reason on most new vehicle, otherwise there'd be no point in them spending money to install at the factory.
Wonder if an aluminum or plastic one becomes available aftermarket that...
I need to renew my Forscan to check, but has anybody looked to see if perhaps the notification setting was simply set to off at the factory, and they're merely turning it on? - That thought ran through my head, as there are members who simply turned it off to eliminate the hyper-flash with...
Wait, Bronco Sport wheels fit the Maverick, don't they use the same size lug bolts? Or is the thread pitch different, but same physical size? - I'm curious now.
They carry Garage Keepers Liability for just this type of occurrence. They should be reporting it to their carrier, who should make you whole. Dealerships are independent franchises, not part of Ford's corporate umbrella in most cases.
I'd be livid, and probably have blown a gasket with them...
I've found mine very stable and competent at highway speeds, and our roads aren't great. Bet the dealer didn't air down the tires from shipping pressure. Makes any vehicle feel darty or squirrely at highway speeds.
Check the pressures, and set to 35 for another drive. Might make a huge...
Turns on every 180 days (give or take), and you need to turn it back off. Many dealers turn it off during PDI, and surprise 6 months later, you begin getting the alert.
Setting is under the Vehicle settings, and even warns it disables for 180 days.
I've installed them for over 30 years. Really helps prevent sandblasting the area behind the wheels, especially if you live in an area they spread salt/sand in winter. It also helps keep the sides of the truck clean during inclement weather.
If you're want a discounted set, I actually have a...
For 2023 you had to separately add the Remote Start System, it wasn't automatically included in the Lux package. For 2024, the Lariat includes all those options as standard, and it isn't even possible to order a Lariat w/o Lux/CP360/Assist/ SIBL/Remote Start. (Though they did drop the keypad...
That feature was dropped for 2024 along with the exterior keypad, so only 22 & 23 Lariat models have them. They're tied into the heated mirrors when the Lux is added. (Supposedly the wiring is no longer present, making it impractical to replace the glass with one containing the heating...
Many dealers do offer mobile. That said for firmware updates, some are reluctant to perform them via the mobile service, as the Ford setup updates ALL modules for which there's an update when doing so, which could take significant time with some models.
The dealership my brother works at...
Darn, was hoping the Perimeter Plus added the chirp. Besides motion or vibration sensing, what does it do? - The description doesn't provide a lot of details.
I'm not positive, however, I seem to recall reading that adding the Perimeter Plus to the standard alarm might also add an audible chirp when locking/unlocking, in addition to the motion sensor. It mentioned the audible chirp, with the description implying it might also chirp when locking or...
If you're having battery issues, including Deep-Sleep, just get the battery replaced. The factory setting is for an AGM Battery, only most of the Hybrid models shipped with an Enhanced Flood Cell. AGM batteries tend to last longer under cycling, recover better from a discharge, and tend to...
