For me I will be replacing my paid for 2013 gas guzzling V8 SUV that I no longer need for short money.
Even though I could buy the Maverick with little out of pocket I plan to take advantage of the low rates and improve my liquidity while potentially earning a return greater than the interest...
It is only about 800 more once you have eco boost and AWD. It might even help MPG if you are in a head wind or at altitude as it will shift down less. Worse thing I ever did was not get the tow package on my suburban.
Ok so still in a queue that potentially is constrained for their build and would get waitlisted over new 2023 orders that did not have constraints. So nothing really changes other than the model year of their vehicle. Oh and now new orders added to the mix...
Tow ratings are subjective to some degree because there are a lot of variables in play. Altitude, heat, wind resistance (trailer surface area), vehicle wheelbase, tires, and of course how often do you tow and how far. You are right, most people would not be happy towing at the limit on a...
Tacoma is a bit of a land barge compared to the Maverick and I agree the low seating position is a disadvantage as well. When I say land barge I mean highway/street manners/handling. Not sure about the 0-60 times and all of that but I am guessing the Maverick could get up and run away from the...
Please correct me if I am wrong. I thought allocation to dealers was based on historical sales volume and Granger was the top-selling Ford dealer in Iowa? If that is the case then Granger would get more allocations than other dealers, correct?
No timing belts? Or are you considering that maintenance?
Agree there should be fewer transmission-related issues with the hybrid since it is much simpler than the Ecoboost 8 speed and cannot be compared to the focus DCT. Cannot be compared to other CVT's either.
Yeah, you are taking up room in the rear but my point was I could be comfortable without even putting the seat all the way back so I could accommodate a rear passenger and still be okay. Sort of like my Suburban I drive now.
Agree with you on the seat moving back very far. I sat in one at the dealership last Friday and it moves back further than my wifes Ridgeline and had more legroom. I am 6'2" with a 34" inseam and felt like the legroom was more than adequate.
Less likely to flex than a body on frame IMO. Keep in mind this part of the truck supports the rear suspension and there are no rubber isolation spacers between the bed and frame like a body-on-frame vehicle. Basically, the body/cab/bed is all one piece.
I think people need to fully understand that this is not a typically CVT and eliminates a lot of the moving parts of the typical CVT. Honestly based on what I see the CVT could easily be more reliable than the trans offered in the ECO boost.
Is there another step after my order has been confirmed before it is scheduled or is the next step after confirmation the scheduled build date email? The reason I asked is my local dealer mentioned a verification step as part of the order flow process.
