The Ford owners manual says that 87 is the minimum recommended BUT for better performance and efficiency to use premium especially if pulling a trailer. It also goes on to say that you may hear pinging if you use 87 Octane.
The full size Bronco will run on 87 octane, but it says right in the...
Ford has a video on the Flexibed that shows you how to make your own version - for the DYI owner. If it's a Ford part there eventually would be a replacement piece - just a matter of when and what the part number and cost would be.
I just received my email from Ford and I am finally scheduled for 11/22.
Ordered on June 10th
Velocity Blue Lariat, Deluxe Package, EcoBoost, 4K, AWD, FX4, Tri-fold tonneau cover, spray-in bed liner, co-pilot 360+, bed mat, moon roof, full size spare.
Constrained is NOT "Late Availability", they are two totally different things. Items that are late availability are even listed as such in the Order Guides. You can't get something shipped anywhere if they aren't available from the vendor until a specific date that Ford obviously knows about...
I spoke with my dealer on Monday and inquired about things on the "Late Availability List" such as the Molded Splash Guards, which are a DIO item. He stated that anything that was ordered with a late availability item on it won't be built (even if its a DIO item) until all of those items are...
Dealer was totally incorrect in telling you that "your Maverick is being built" since the assembly plant didn't start making them until September 13th and if you ordered a Hybrid, it's going to be a lot longer wait.
When I was looking to purchase my 2000 F350 Super Duty Crew Cab 7.2L diesel, four Ford dealers would not take the order because it was A-Plan and would be one less in their "monthly allocation" and they couldn't haggle price/profit. The fifth Ford dealer I went to said that it was not a problem...
I had two orders that didn't have my email address entered into them. A call to Ford Marketing confirmed that the orders were indeed placed and they added my email address to the orders so that I would get notifications. They also stated that some dealers haven't been entering in the customer...
Currently it's the chips that go into making the RCM (Restraint Control Module) that controls the airbags and seat belts, not just one particular chip.
Maintenance costs are getting to be a lot. Just one tire for the truck is over $275 and an oil change is $140 (7.3L diesel uses 4 gallons of oil - 16 quarts - for each oil change), there are two heavy duty batteries and the glow plugs are going to need replacing in the not to distant future...
I have a 2000 F350 Super Duty Crew cab with a 7.3L diesel and an 8 foot bed with 187,000 miles and the turbo is still going strong with no problems. Likewise I also have a 2016 Escape with the 2.0L Turbo engine with 89,000 miles on it and no problems. Both vehicles follow the recommended service...
Not necessarily a Ford battery. But if you do some research on battery replacements across the board from all manufacturers offering electric or hybrid vehicles, the cost for replacement can get rather hefty.
Another cost that you aren't factoring in is the cost to replace the batteries when they start to or actually fail - which can go easily into five figures. It's all a matter of when - not if.
I have the Bushwacker fender flares on my Bronco Sport and they attach with clips and screws in holes that are already provided for in the body and frame by Ford two of the plastic molding fasteners that are already present. There is a rubber gasket on the fender flares that prevent water from...
