My thoughts currently are to keep the Lexus but money talks, and the dealer could convince me otherwise when my Mav arrives in 5-6 months. Sure, there comes the added expenses of insurance, gas and such but the vehicle really is a gem. With some standard maintenance, the GX’s will last forever...

Excellent points. I have also considered that. All the extra features and comforts might make me want to keep it a few more years and we all know, the longer we keep them, the less money they typically cost us.

All excellent points. Greatly appreciate the advice. I’m leaning toward changing the order to Hybrid, XLT with Lux. Factoring taxes, it would save me around 9K from my current build and still have more modern safety features than the GX.

Thanks for the opinion. I’m really digging the brown active x pleather and the copper trim opposed to orange in the Lariat. I know I could save several thousand going with lower trims/options but I expect my ‘22 vehicle to have more bells/whistles than my ‘04 lol.

See, that’s kinda my thought. Especially considering I will likely keep my 04 GX with true 4x4. Kentucky weather is always a toss up but I’ve truly only needed AWD in a handful of situations.

Good point. I considered the same. I factored in the fact that I already have a 4X4, my mostly hwy commute, the suspected delays in Hybrid motor and the fact the Ecoboost has loads of more power for only an additional 1K.

Thanks for the input. I always buy used with all the bells and whistles and let someone else pay for the frills. This will be my first brand new order. In today’s market and the forecast of things to come, I don’t think we can go wrong with either option.
