Agreed, it is a feature and it should work and you are right to demand that it works as intended.
Mine works (in the rare case I forget to disable after starting the truck). I hate the feature
The main benefit is for the other people (not me!) who drive the car (wife and daughter) who NEVER put the shade in the Florida 95 degrees sun to protect the dash from cracking
I agree with you: white color would have been better
Good plan!
If you have Geico and the truck is under 15k miles you can get their warranty, check it out in Geico's. I took it
(search Geico for " Mechanical Breakdown Insurance: Coverage for Car Repairs ")
7 years, 100k miles
My two cents:
My ecoboost 2024 had a single issue since I got it on November 2023, and it was like one month ago: bad battery (by the way, it came with the AGM battery)
I discovered then that I have little patience for this issues: my 2016 Honda Fit only repair was a change of battery after...
This was my case: truck operated daily several times (2024 ECO), last month had to jump start it, took it to dealer, tested battery ok, a week later same issue, this time battery tested bad and they replaced it. It's been like two weeks now, no issues ... so far
Mine died after 6 months (AGM), dealer replaced it under warranty. I bought the Walmart one (4 year warranty) to keep it as spare

Don't like the new version and it forces you to use Google maps, I preferred the Here We Go original (which I have it in my phone for back up driving guidance for when there is no good phone signal)
