Be honest, have you ever really heard of that actually happening to anyone? It reminds of the old urban legend from the 1980's not to flash your headlights at someone because they might be part of a gang initiation and they could chase you down and murder you...
There is no reason to have a lock on the gas fill door Ford has already thought of that and has prevention in place.
"Ford’s capless full filler deters gas theft two different ways. With Easy Fuel, a spring-loaded flapper door is held closed by latches that can only be released by a...
What was your point then? Because you stated twice in post # 13 that you were worried about the release handle being used for someone with bad intentions.
You kind of helped make my point. As I said previously, there were people in this forum claiming that front end of the 2025 Maverick's was going to tank sales and no one would buy them. Obviously that was ridiculous as it clearly had almost effect on sales, the Maverick is more popular than ever.
That was not the normal wait for 2024 models but there were some delays. Heck even with the stop sale they had a record sales year, I guess that really tells you how the front end was a non issue.
Most people don't care and probably barely notice the difference.
Eh, supplier issues were pretty much sorted out for the 2024 model year and Ford started really pumping out Maverick's without delays for 2024. And if you're going to use any alternate excuse I suppose you could say that adding AWD to the Hybrid could have helped boost sales.
However, any...
Cooper Ericksen, Toyota Motor North America’s head of planning and strategy, told MotorTrend in August 2025 that the automaker is building the truck. So the information is coming straight from Toyota and is not just speculation. I would say that's confirmation...
Only weirdo's on internet forms find the refresh repulsive. The 2025 Maverick refresh was a record setting year with over 155K sold. Sales of the truck were almost a 20% increase over 2024 units sold.

Based on typical Ford product update cycles the next update to the Maverick should be a second generation level update with exterior and interior refresh. No guarantees though that they'll do that for the 2028 model year, they might ride the current generation out for an extra year or two...
Toyota did confirm last year that they are definitely working a small truck to compete with the Maverick. The latest rumors are that it will be available sometime in 2027. Since there hasn't been a lot of information yet I'd have to think it would be late 2027 as a 2028 model year. Or the...
I know a lot of Ford fanboys will rejoice at this rumor of the Santa Cruz being cancelled.
But the Santa Cruz really isn't a bad vehicle, it's a very comfortable and capable truck and yes the looks are a little polarizing but there are other vehicles with questionable looks that sell well. The...
I'm amazed that people still fall for this marketing ploy. This is a dealership tactic that is as old as time. They send out mass mailings telling everyone that their car or truck is highly desired and they see who will bite. They don't care about your truck, they just want to sell more cars...
HRG's point was that all the keyboard warriors who proclaimed:

were clearly wrong as sales actually improved for 2025 and it had the highest totals of any year since it was introduced.
It's not terribly difficult to remove but it does take some time and patience. You should definitely pick up some trim removal tools if you don't already have some because that makes it a lot easier. There are some good videos on Youtube that show to remove it.
All I'm going to say is that thinking about this more, I'm shocked that anyone can be arguing over cursive in the year 2026 and that includes myself. The whole thing got out hand quickly.
Alto Blue is such a great color. In a lot of lighting most people think it's black but when it's clean...
I was just reading about that the other day on Autopian. I couldn't believe that I never had an idea that Ford was the first manufacturer to use that arrow. And what a simple brilliant idea its was.
