I tried that about a month ago, same result. I've only seen a couple of Mavericks on the road around here, so I have to wonder if any KC-area orders are getting built.
Hey, another Olathe Ford customer! I received the same email. Mine's a hybrid XLT Lux w/360, ordered one day before yours.
I think it's a "Hey, just letting you know we haven't forgotten about you" message.
They seem to have replaced the basic white Taurus or retired police Crown Vic as the "cheap car most likely to be driven by local government agencies."
I have a theory that a spreadsheet jockey at Ford crunched all the numbers and found that XLT+LUX+CP360 is a magic combination that maximizes profit for Ford, given the parts constraints they are facing. Without the two of them combined, Ford's better off building a plain XLT because it's...
Having thought about the options suggested by the "Dealer Letter Template" a little bit, I think we're overlooking the most significant constraint: What is best for the revenues and profits of the Ford Motor Company.
In other words, an XLT with both Lux AND CP360 is profitable enough, when...
I have a 9/17 order in for a Hybrid XLT Lux with CP360. I am not interested in removing either of those, but I am indifferent to the SIBL vs DIBL. Would it be worthwhile to have my dealer change my Lux package to the late version with DIBL?? Or would I just be putting myself later in line for no...
Unless you're tuned into the car business, the biggest thing you've heard about Ford lately is the upcoming electric Lightning.
So in their heads, New Ford Pickup = Electric.
My build is a college graduation present for my daughter. So it's focused on what she wanted for her first new vehicle:
Hybrid (gas mileage)
XLT (Cruise control)
Lux (Heated Seats)
360 (My call, because she drives a little too much like her mother)
Cyber Orange (She likes the color of my...
We've put 105,000 miles on a '13 Camry Hybrid. With 200 HP, It drives like a car with a reasonable amount of power and maybe a smidgen more torque than you would expect.
If you need an extra 5mph to finish a pass at highway speed, it'll be there up to about 90mph. But it won't blow you away.
My grandparents had one, a 2-door in an ugly green with black vinyl. I believe it went to my Aunt after Grandpa passed away (Grandma didn't drive) and eventually rusted away.
