i didnt know that about different Bronco trims being exclusively built at specific plants, but i still dont believe it would be that hard a lift to 'flip' Hermo to 70/30 % or even 100% Mav production.
i dont know how the profit per vehicle retail profit margin works out as far as vis-a-vi MaV...
a good thought experiment is to ponder how different those #'s would be if Mav production was better aligned with demand for our beloved little truck? i would wager the F-series wouldnt still be outselling Mav's 5 to 1, Ford if you build them the people will buy them.

i believe that what you are referring to is the fuel capacity of each tank, not their actual physical dimensions. the discrepancy is due to the additional inside the tank pieces/parts needed for the pressurized fuel system that hybrids are equipped with. so, same size tanks, different fuel...
i also believe that to be true. the Lariat package on my 23 hybrid was advertised as having a 'noise reducing' windshield, thicker glass & better laminate between layers would not only reduce outside noise but should also be more robust and crack resistant as well.

my theory is that the Ranchero identified too much with a 'car' like truck, just look at that rakish front end!
while the Mav on the other hand is basically a F150 profile vehicle in a much smaller package, and seeing as how the F150 is and has been the bestselling vehicle in this great country...
