i did not know full synthetic was the recommended oil for hybrids. if that is the case then why did Ford put in what i believe is a synthetic blend at the factory? i just agreed to use what the service advisor said was the Ford recommended oil & filter, did i make a mistake?
is this full...
thats just wrong on so many levels. Ford should force the nearest dealership to service this vehicle as opposed to allowing them basically telling you that they can no longer help you. i am NOT a attorney but as far as i know ALL Ford dealerships in these United States are required to perform a...
you're absolutely right that some dealers know how to run a good Service Dept. i've been going to the same one for many yrs and couldnt be much happier with how the treat me & my vehicles.
hopefully threads like these help others find their own 'good dealer'.
happy trails...
sorry but thats not accurate, actually most dealers HATE warranty work because of the miserly labor rates paid for almost every job in the book. only those rare dealerships who are smart enough to use this opportunity to win over the customer cheerfully perform warranty work.
for instance say...
i think for those folks who drive a Ecoboost have different oil change frequencies to consider. the EB is a ICE powertrain that runs 100% of the time and therefore will need more frequent oil changes than a Hybrid over the same mileage intervals i would think
whether Hybrid or ICE it is...
i also have ALL maintinence during the warrenty period done at the dealership as well as oil changes after warr expires. that way God forbid theres some kind of engine failure or other big issue theres no wiggle room for the dealer or Ford coparate to question whether or not the vehicle was...
my Alto Blue '23 L. Hybrid is known in my house as "Mabel the Maverick" or just Mabel. my 2nd choice was Mavis the Maverick but 'Mabel' won the vote. :)
me too. most of my driving is in the city and i just dont go out when the winter weather gets too extreme. got my '23 Lariat Hybrid at the end of April this year so i have yet to try Mabel the Maverick in the sometimes brutal northeast Ohio winters. no plans to switch to winter/snow tires at...
i couldnt agree more. in any large orginisation if u go high enough up the food chain there is ALWAYS someone in the coporate structure that has the requisite authority to just ship the needed part to a shop that Ford can authorize to do this 'one off' recall repair.
the hard part would be...
You have hit on the main reason people see a small MPG bump when using higher octane fuels. if a given fuel contains 10% ethanol it follows that a zero % ethanol fuel should deliver 10% more energy. but this does not mean you suddenly get a 10% improvement in mpg or performance, its not a linier...
funny story about the brake hold feature. 1st week we had our '23 Lariat Hybrid WIfey went to the store and upon returning got partway into the garage and had an issue.
where i park in the garage is quite tight and shes doing her best to 'ease' the Mav into the proper spot. next thing i know...
my 23 L. Hybrid has no lane centering or ACC so i'm not qualified to offer opinions on that.
my experience with Lane Assist is that the Lane Assist visual dash indicator is pretty consistent irrespective of speed: it glows yellow if you're close to either side lane limit, then red if you cross...
very interesting, one would think that the a lot of the same sensors that inform ACC are involved with lane centering systems. i wonder what was the reason for the >40mph limit on lane keeping but not the other stuff?
great question...while the lane assist will provide visual cues nd steering wheel alerts via steering wheel vibrations it does NOT attempt any 'lane centering' that im aware of.
i have a '23 Lariat that i bought off the lot(not my order) that came with lane assist but no adaptive cruise...
when using the bed power outlet is it always 'hot' or must the truck be running? also have you tested how long you can use the TV B4 draining the battery? this battery drain info may be in the owners manual but i have'nt found it so far.
ok that makes sense as the winter freeze/thaw cycles would not be good for the screen or electronic components one would think. i really like your setup:)
