very nice! i have no regrets about my decision. basically i get to drive one of the hardest vehicles to procure in America today for free so to speak while i await the next one :)
i was fortunate enough to scoop up a abandoned '23 Lariat Hybrid Mav order for MSRP minus A-plan. it did not have everything on it that i would of ordered (no sunroof, no copilot 360 assist). so i ordered a '24 with all the options i wanted the 1st day the order bank for 24's opened up after the...
equally cool is that the Mav will automatically shift into Park if you open the driver's door with your foot on the brakes while stopped. not sure if it works on the other doors or while the trucks moving.
great post! i agree with you on almost all your observations with just a few caveats and maybe on consideration of shifter placement that occurred to me.
as a hybrid powertrain equipped with a E-CVT there are no mechanical gears to be shifted by the driver. it could in a real sense be described...
i have a aftermarket Ford logo steering wheel cover and what ive observed is that the steering wheel still heats up, but....it takes considerably longer to work its way thru the cover to your hands. it's not that big a deal for me but your mileage may vary.
i respectively disagree about the little 'cubby hole', i sorta dig it. to me it's reminiscent of the 'bud vase' that VW used to put in their Bugs. kinda useless, definitely quirky and cute however.
there's a quite cool thread on this site exploring what Mav owners are putting in theirs and...
unfortunately you will probably know more about the Mav (especially if you're a MTC member) than the majority of salespeople at most dealerships. sad, but true IMHO.
ok, lets be clear, i am most certainly NOT a electrical engineer....but.....when i do a simple Google search on 'how long does a typical LED bulb last?' the answer returned is 50k-100k hrs.
at 10 hours use p/day, at the low end estimate of 50k hours lifespan that equals to almost 14 years of...
great post with good info. i dont mean to sound overly critical but i'm having a hard time understanding or relating to just why the OP is so opposed to DRL's ? . most LED bulbs are good for 10yrs or more; plus they DO help reduce daytime head on collisions(proven already). whats not to like?
i would'nt worry too much about them wearing out, odds are they'll probably last longer than you'll own the truck.
i believe a more pertinent concern should be the exorbitant replacement cost if one of them should ever be damaged in some kind of front end collision or 'minor' fender bender'.
now there's someone who REALLY wants their Mav LOL, if yours has already been built than you should be ok.
the only way the UAW strike could affect 'Hermo' operations is if the UAW starts striking plants that supply needed production parts & components. in that event Ford would be forced to...
the Teamsters will NOT cross a UAW picket line, period. it's in their newly signed contract that they dont cross picket lines. Solidarity Foreever!!
as long as your Mav is on a train somewhere enroute to a dealer somewhere you should be ok as almost none of those inflection points are likely to...
same here on reasons for joining the MTC, there is much to be learned here.
i've had my '23 Mav since late April and the only time i can remember putting the tailgate in the halfway position was just right after delivery to see how it worked. retired now and never hauled much anyway but it's...
