The FordTechMakuloco YT channel showed walnut blasting the valves on a 4-cylinder EB engine this past week. This has long been the preferred method for VW and BMW shops doing this kind of work, and its so much nicer than using chemicals+scrapers.
It appears Ford actually thought about this...
Its funny that this thread comes up today, as my wife and I were talking about putting in an order for a Cyber Orange Lariat when the order books open on September 15th. The HPR is a great color, but seems to be common on a bunch of cars in our area.
The problem is that Ford needs all its dealers just to perform the excessive amount of warranty work these days. Can you imagine what is going to happen to quality when the production lines get back to full speed?
We owned Golfs and GTI's steadily since 2008, and enjoyed every minute. They are great cars, and everywhere else in the world, they are used for EVERYTHING. It wasn't uncommon to see a Golf TDI pulling a small camper at 50mph on the toll road in Italy during summer vacation.
Ordered a Gator tonneau at a great price with free shipping on Wednesday and it arrived on Thursday. Thanks Alex and RealTruck for supporting this site.
Has anyone found if the electronic rear parking brakes are covered under PremiumCare? I asked Brooke if she could supply a comprehensive list of covered parts or point me to a link, but the brochure only has a partial list of the parts covered.
Having replaced both EPB's on an old VW Passat, I...
I ordered the exact same truck on 7/9/2021, and the Collinsville dealer charged me the price at time of order when we picked it up at the end of April 2022. I didn't even need to ask them.
My 2/2022 production has that fix, and the hood has quite a solid thud when it closes. I've noted that the alignment at the left rear of the hood (at the base of the windshield, driver's side) with the fender is terrible tho. The passenger side looks good.
Our used low mileage 2017 C-Max did this multiple times during the 8 months we owned it, starting with a maiden voyage my wife took across the country. She got stuck in a dealership in rural WV on a Friday night and couldn't get a rental. The dealership ran some tests, threw a new 12V battery...
I added the Cravenspeed Stubby Jr, and it had no problem pulling in a college radio station 70+ miles away on Saturday. I don't live in an area overrun with radio stations, however.
We've been intrigued by the ID Buzz for many years. However, recent reviews have indicated that pricing might be closer to $65k.....definitely a no-go for us retired folks on a fixed income.
That said, we just finished 15 consecutive years of modern VW ownership, and can't complain at all...
I ordered OEM mats on Friday after getting notified by the Ford Accessories website. Paid $2 extra for two-day shipping and they arrived this morning. The fit is very snug, and the rear ones offer particularly comprehensive coverage up the sides. I think they assume that everyone's little...
