Interesting! I've noticed both of these as well. The front end thing only happens when backing down out of my driveway, and even then only at certain steering wheel angles.
I took my truck in for the airbag recall last week and also noted yellow coolant all over the outside of the muffler and on my garage floor from a cold snap we had in December.....clearly related to the battery heat exch. Tech noted that this was considered "normal."
I don't know why Ford is still using TPMS sensors. The wheel speed sensor easily allows the computer to figure out when a tire is going flat. My 2017 GTI did that passively.
Wow. I noticed a bunch of junk dripping on the floor of my garage when we had super cold weather a few weeks ago.....thought it was rusty water coming off the exhaust. Looks like I need to go in to check the heat exch.
Never thought two retirees would use a truck so much.
Just got home last night from Phoenix after a 3500-mile road trip, and my wife said, "this truck is perfect."
Well, not exactly. Has the special Hybrid low speed braking weirdness, the edge of the windshield on the passenger side is...
We've owned a number of VW's over the last 15 years and had really good experiences. Our Mexican-built GTI and Golf Sportwagen TDI were flawless and easily matched the German-built GTI and Passat wagon. If VW still offered a Passat wagon in the US, we would own one, as that size was perfect...
We ordered the truck in July 2021, but I didn't get the X-Plan Friends and Neighbors PIN from my buddy until well after Labor Day. I created the online account, filled out the paperwork with the necessary info, and let my salesman know. The deal on the Mav might have been a couple hundred $$...
Its interesting that such a large cable is grounded only thru the threads of the attachment screw. That plated lug is touching on paint, and not conducting anything to the body.....the energy is going thru the screw head and threads to the connection point, and that is barely any surface area...
