More progress on the overlanding trailer yesterday. The front box will be enclosed with large slide out drawers for my Hardigg cases, propane, water, on demand shower. The enclosure ended up bigger than I had wanted to clear the side by side but in the end this should be killer.
Nice, I'm actually looking at a storage building full of 2g's right now and trying to figure out how many I want. haha
The truck will get full exhaust, intercooler, intercooler pipes, air intake and hopefully tuning via Cobb Accessport as soon as they can get it released. Also going to offer...
They originally gave me a build date of Sept 23rd and I never heard anything. The 27th they sent me a notification my truck was built and awaiting shipment. Today I got an notice saying it's been shipped and to expect it Nov 4th, which is ridiculous, I bet it's here in a week or two most.
My build date was scheduled for 9-23 but it didn't get built until 9-27. I got confirmation the truck has been shipped as of this morning so it's on it's way. Definitely building the truck for an overlanding vehicle, so more focused on offroad but also want to get the performance up, I'd like...
LOL, yeah, that's me. Thank you very much.
I've got a Smittybilt overlanding tent, 2 person. It will go on this trailer build for now and also be used on the truck, one of our first projects is an overlanding rack for the Maverick.
Got confirmation my Maverick is built. As soon as it gets here we will start our new shop project. First time for us doing a truck, we've been building DSM's along with some other platforms mixed in for over 30 years now.
The Maverick build is going to be concentrating on Overlanding but we...
Truck is built! Says late October/early November for delivery. Later than I had hoped, we wanted to hit a drag strip with it to get some baseline numbers before we start building performance parts for it. Might have to take a drive somewhere warmer to get baseline performance numbers...
Nice to see one at a dealer. Today is my build date, hoping for an update. That one is bare bones, I wish they could have been ordered with rubber floors instead of carpet.
Before it's asked, the power gains are because the crank case gets pressurized, by venting the can properly you lose that pressure in the crank case, that pressure is below the piston and the piston has to fight to come back down. Relieving that pressure, which can be measured with a pressure...
Absolutely adding one, one of the first things we will fab for my new truck. There is zero down sides to a well designed catch can and not venting one, unless you live where they emission Nazi's is also silly.
Over my 30+ years now in the turbocharged import world the crazy crap we've seen...
Thanks guys! I'm hoping my dealer is wrong about the time it takes to get the trucks once they are built! He told me to expect it mid November. I was hoping to get some 1/4 mile times from it stock and after some mods before the snow flies!
Since catch cans were mentioned, that is an...
Hi,
My name is David Buschur, I've been in the Mitsubishi racing world since 1989. So 2.0 turbocharged vehicles have been my life for 30+ years.
I retired/sold my shop a few years ago and got rid of all my toys, got into wood working and off roading. I realized after doing that that of...
