Certainly isn't. My Maverick (Jan 2022 build) fell squarely in the affected date range, but two dealerships performed the TSB "shake test" on the harness and determined I didn't have the problem. Ford lurker account didn't help either. This whole notion of "simply take it to the dealer and...
That's one of the reasons I feel I have the right to complain, I am a stockholder.
While the brand has been good to me over the years financially, some of the vehicles not so much, especially the Maverick.
Yes, my 2022 did that frequently. There are those of the forum that say I was in the 1%-2% of "early adopters" and should have expected problems, and that the 2023's have everything resolved. Apparently not the case.
Very sorry to hear about your dad's issue. For me, it became too frustrating...
No, it was Ford, along with the dealerships. I interacted with the forum account and Ford customer service many times. And they (FMC) did defer resolution on many of the issues I dealt with.
No doubt I was a victim of being an early adopter, but the way Ford handled the issues soured the brand's perception with me. And I've bought a LOT of Fords earlier in life.
I have stated many times I would still be driving a Maverick had I purchased an Ecoboost. My failed logic at the time was based on all of the conversation that Ford had refined this hybrid system in their 20 year experience with the Escape and Fusion. Problem is that they cheapened the...
My original reasoning for selecting the hybrid was the two-decade history Ford had with the Escape/Fusion hybrids and the normally-aspirated Atkinson-cycle engine being super reliable.
Looking back, I would no doubt still be driving the Maverick had I chose Ecoboost. I would love the power and...
Spent a lot of time on work assignments in Denver, Los Alamos, and Albuquerque back in the 90's. I always loved escaping the eastern winter gloom when working out west. Sunny, big skies definitely lifted the mood. Always noticed the sky thicken with humidity when flying back, usually near the...
Yep. Everyone noticed immediately when I was in another vehicle using hand-free telephone. Not only is it noisy, but almost unusable in heavy rain due to the background noise.
While I don't advocate any unrestrained pets, I do know that airbags have horribly killed a lot of pets in low speed accidents. Most the dogs that ride in the back of trucks in my area are in rural areas without incident. Pets free-roaming in the cabin are definitely more problematic. That...
Dogs roaming in the bed likely fare better in many accidents as opposed to dealing with the explosive force of an airbag deployment. Airbags are designed to protect humans that are properly restrained. An airbag will snap a large pet's neck and turn a small one into a missile.
