Just saw on HLN news that Ford Motor Company is requesting Dealerships to sell Mavericks at the MSRP. While they do not prevent dealerships from markups, Ford could "retaliate" by reducing the quantity of parts and other things I missed, to those dealerships that DO mark them up. Anyone saw this?
I need to stop reading about these add-ons. I'll go broke(r) with these awesome ideas!!! Let's see: powder coating the steel wheels, tailgate letters, grill paint, fender flares, and who knows what's next!!! 😁
Now the question is, will they actually build it to completion and deliver it ahead of the "delivery date pushbacks" everyone else is facing. Being bare bones will help, but with the chip shortage will they use what few chips they still have to put in a new build or put them in other Mavericks...
Thanks for the replies. Maybe too nervous with all of the setbacks Ford is dealing with and how we are finding it harder to hang in there for a Maverick.
Around a month back we found a dealership with three Mavericks being built for inventory. We put a down payment on one which has a bit more than we actually wanted and thought it had the 4K tow package. Well, it doesn't and only has the trailer hitch receiver. We don't plan much towing over...
What's the difference between having a baby and the Ford Maverick? While the Maverick and a baby take eight months for delivery, the Maverick is cheaper in the end!!! 🤣
I don't believe I am pissed or upset, rather befuddled how Ford brought it to market, kept saying Mavericks were going to be delivered and yes some were, stating the cause was chip shortage then push delivery back by weeks only to see the same reason pop up again and again. Then as in our case...
PLEASE post pictures after you put the letters on. We are getting the same color and I want to highlight Maverick on the tailgate. Just haven't figured out what would look right.
I don't blame Ford for the chip shortage. I blame Ford for bringing a vehicle to market during a time when everyone was aware of production and shipping issues. Then poor management by stating production will continue, leading us to believe they had resolved supply issues, only to have...
Heck yea. Might put a little more pressure on Ford to find the chips needed. Bad publicity for a manufacturer to offer something, take orders and be given a delivery date, then push back those dates three or four times while expecting loyal customers to stick with them and probably not get any...
Why couldn't they be short Flaming Hot Crunchy Cheeto chips? Have a huge unopened bag in the pantry I'd overnight to them. They are so hot the Maverick would probably push 300 hp. Of course the hybrid would whine!!!
But you are right. No dealership wants to have any vehicles on their lots...
