Naturally aspirated I've seen gains, on a turbo engine where the charge air can travel close to the speed of sound, it has no effect.

I've not seen those results on any platform.

Nothing like that actually. Excessive oil temps would ruin/blow the engine and cost for warranty repairs. Excessive intake temp will cause the ECU to limit power and slow the truck down/decrease the towing power but not blow the engine.

Ford added a lot of parts for the upgrade 4k tow package, I don't see an oil cooler listed, I'd say apparently they have it under control.

The intercooler is 100% beneficial for towing, the logs of the intake air temps are retarded high just doing a quarter mile pull, pulling a trailer up a hill in the summer I can't even guess how high they'd get.

This doesn't cool the engine, it cools the air coming into the engine.

There isn't coolant in it, it's an air to air intercooler.
