  1. Maverick owners demographics - just curious

Younger man here (late 20's - early 30's). I like the Ranger and F150 but its a lot more than I need. Not to mention their price is cost prohibitive, esspecially when I don't really *need* a truck that big. I just need something that is capable of doing Home Depot runs, trips to the landfill...
  2. Ford Doubles Military and First Responder Bonus Cash Ahead of Veteran’s Day

I don't think it's about being ungrateful or feeling owed anything. I think it's more about being disappointed in the value of the discount, especially since they go out of their way to advertise it like it's some big deal. A $500 discount on a $30,000 Maverick only amounts to a 1.6% discount...
  3. Just what you always wanted ... choice add on packages

I would definitely look elsewhere. I looked at dealers all over Oregon, Washington, and Idaho before I made my purchase. I was willing to make the several hour drive if it meant saving a few thousand dollars on BS add ons. I think the furthest dealer I checked was 450 miles away from me. I wound...

    Pacific Northwest Mavericks

@Awesemann Eastern Oregon here. Last time I visited Portland I felt like I saw quite a few Mavs around town. It seemed the hybrid model was pretty popular. I would've liked the hybrid but with the yearly snow and ice I wanted the AWD model (they hadn't yet announced an AWD hybrid). To my...
  5. Ford Doubles Military and First Responder Bonus Cash Ahead of Veteran’s Day

If Ford doubled the bonus cash for military and law enforcement, I'd probably stay a Ford loyalist forever. When I bought my Mav I got $500 for being a veteran, $500 for being law enforcement, and $500 for switching from another major brand (Subaru). For a roughly $30,000 truck that only amounts...
  6. Sensitive parking brake?

I'm guessing this is separate from the parking brake? My driveway has a roughly 15 degree incline and I've never had any sort of auto parking brake engage like OP is claiming to experience. If OP is having the actual parking brake engage when making movements like turning to park, that doesn't...
  7. Indiana to Minnesota Road Trip Towing Camper.

I like seeing threads like this because one of the reasons I chose the ecoboost motor over the hybrid was the 4k tow capacity. Wanting to get a little trailer like this for myself and my wife and don't want to have the truck struggle to get it around.
  8. Can I drive my brand new hybrid 400 miles home?

I bought my truck in Boise and drove about 250 miles home on the highway. I just stayed in the far right lane and kept it at about 65 the whole way. Truck is still alive ~9000 miles later.
  9. Does Rotary Shifter suck?

Not a fan of the dial shifter. I would've much preferred a shifter on the steering column or a regular center console shifter like the Bronco. I find if I'm trying to quickly shift, I either over shift or under shift and miss the spot I was trying to land on.
  10. Ecoboost Emblems

You could get one of the joke ones that say "EcoBeast". Probably the closest you'll get.
  11. Ecoboost Emblems

I removed the AWD badge on the rear of my Mav and slapped the black EcoBoost badge from the Ford Accessories site where the hybrid badge normally is. There is an EcoBoost AWD badge but I don't think it would look good since the blue color is a bit darker than the azure gray on my Mav. There...
  12. Got dissed at the Depot!

For the first month or two of owning my Mav, I was getting dogged on regularly by all my coworkers. They all drive these huge three-quarter ton and one ton trucks (F250/F350, Ram 2500/3500, etc). Most of them have pristine truck beds and never pull anything more than a U-Haul trailer. Honestly...
  13. Anybody run the maverick on strictly premium fuel?

Totally non-scientific but since this post I've only been filling my truck with mid grade gas (89 octane). About 500 miles driven total and I've seen about a 1-2mpg decrease from regular gas (87 octane). I'm going to start filling with only premium and see if I notice any improvement over the...
  14. Finally Got My Hybrid Maverick

Looks like it all worked out for the better this way. I love the idea of a hybrid truck but at the time I was shopping for my Mav they didn't yet have an AWD hybrid so I settled on the AWD ecoboost. Still happy with my purchase but it'd be alot cooler getting 40mpg rather than 30mpg :censored:
  15. Mounting the Cravenspeed Platypus off center?

I've seen a few pictures out there of the Cravenspeed Platypus mounted off center on the Maverick. I purchased one for myself and sat for about 30 minutes trying to get it just right with no luck. I find that it can't go too far to the right because then it sits crooked due to this dip in the...
  16. Anybody run the maverick on strictly premium fuel?

I've been using 87 octane since I bought the truck. I've done a few single fill ups of mid-grade (89 octane) and premium (91 octane) but haven't noticed any differences. Planning on running my next 2-3 tanks as mid to see if I get any sort of performance boost, then my next 2-3 as premium. Will...

    Pacific Northwest Mavericks

It was a great drive to the Seattle area. Beautiful day to drive over Snoqualmie Pass.

    Pacific Northwest Mavericks

If you happen to spot an azure gray Mav w/ Oregon veteran plates driving towards Seattle on I-82/I-90 today, good chance you're seeing me! Feel free to wave at me, preferably with more than one finger.
  19. Any tricks to getting the dealer logo off the paint?

Lots of good answers here but I'm surprised nobody has recommended a plastic razor yet. I used a heat gun for ~30 seconds over the sticker and then went at it gently with a plastic razor and it came off. Dental floss didn't work for me because the sticker was very thin and couldn't catch on...
  20. Maverick Q2 2025 sales had an all-time-best quarter with 48,041 trucks sold

I was one of those Q2 customers! Purchased new from a Ford dealer in Boise, Idaho. Traded in my trusty Subaru for the Mav. Been loving every second of driving my Maverick.
