  1. Post YOUR Maverick TRUCKING!

That guy's braver (dumber?) than I am ... there's probably 3000 lbs on the gooseneck, that cradle could've easily crushed the roof straight onto his head
  2. Opinions and pics of lowering.

    Lowering doesn't break CV joints
  3. Post YOUR Maverick TRUCKING!

Did you paint your mirror caps carbonized gray? Pretty sure they're normally black on BAP Mavs
  4. Lobo Autocross Test by Grassroots Motorsports

If you're still on 225s, going to 245s should net you about an extra inch of width and probably more if you get "fat" 245s so you'll be around 65" wide. Check the rules to see if spacers are allowed
  5. OTA update with new traction calibration coming for 2025 Hybrid AWD

Only 2025+ can receive OTA chassis module updates
  6. Disable back up sensors when towing?

Plug something into the trailer wiring connector
  7. What are the pros and cons of 17” vs 19” wheels?

I thought that would be the case, but there's exactly zero difference in ride quality between my 17" winters and 19" summers
  8. Photos of your road trippin' Maverick.

Yup it seems like a great fit for Europe. Even the driveline is the same as the Kuga. I guess the problem is production capacity
  9. Photos of your road trippin' Maverick.

How do Europeans react to the Maverick? Seems like it would be more popular over there than the Ranger
  10. New owner: ‘26 in *that* color

. Black below the headlights makes it look really generic IMO. I like the 25+ front end, it sets the Maverick apart from the Ranger and F-150
  11. The "Mass" Problem of EVs

'62 Imperial was about 4600 lbs and it was a rare, large luxury car for it's time. Now, the roads are choked with SUVs that weigh this much or more '55 - '57 Chevys were mid 3000s Old cars looked super heavy, but they really weren't
  12. Cost to purchase and install a complete flat tow system on 2025 Maverick Hybrid

I'm curious, what's the advantage of flat-towing vs putting the runabout on a lightweight trailer? You can buy light (about 1200lbs) aluminum open trailers for less than $6k that will haul pretty much any car, require no installation, and also allow you to back up (IIRC a toad can't easily back...
  13. Fuel Gauge Question

They do have sensors On mine it'll sometimes throw the red "unbelted" icon for the middle seat if both outside seats are occupied and belted. I'm guessing the middle pressure sensor gets triggered by the fabric being pulled tight
  14. The "Mass" Problem of EVs

Not only guardrails, parking lots will have to be rethought for the weight of EVs and modern cars Average vehicle weight is increasing (not just EVs but ALL cars are getting heavier) and many multilevel parking lots just weren't designed for that much weight per space Hummer EVs weigh ~9,000...
  15. Fuel Gauge Question

Yeah these "gauges" offer no useful info, it's baffling that Ford would go with this dumb design of fixed 1/8th increments when a normal full-reading gauge would have cost basically $0 more. Also applies to the stupid rotary shifter. Doesn't solve any issue, but completely breaks with 50+ years...
  16. New owner: ‘26 in *that* color

Looks good Black out your B-pillar, it'll make the truck look lower and longer
  17. Hard Bed Covers for Maverick

Your hard tri-fold cover can't flip open under a low-profile rack ... that's the whole reason I got a hard roll-up instead. I added Truxedo TS rails under my OEM tonneau cover side rails. Then I designed custom risers that are only tall enough to allow the tonneau cover to roll up under the...
  18. Hard Bed Covers for Maverick

Care to share some pictures of your bike rack setup? I'm looking to do something similar
  19. Correct board for rear slot?

Cut a 45 degree notch in the bottom corners and it'll rest on the floor
  20. 2025 Must have Forscan Mods?

Does Lobo mode give you errors after using it? IIRC another member here tried it and it would light up the CEL after a while. I'd love to enable it if it really works ... "formerly called Sand mode" ... also Off-Road mode
