  1. Getting a lightweight travel trailer!

Whay I plan to. The current owner and his parents have had it for over thirty years. They have the original ownership too.
  2. Getting a lightweight travel trailer!

Yep, I towed a 1,000lb tent trailer with my old Toyota Tercel. Barely noticed it except for braking had to leave lots of distance. The car itself couldn't have been more than 2,000lbs itself. Lol
  3. Getting a lightweight travel trailer!

That would have been great LOL but I am picking up this wkd paying $2,800 for it. Compared to Bolers/Trilliums same size usually not great condition go for several thousand more I thought I'd snag this baby! Very insightful. I'm fairly confident my FWD hybrid can tow 1,600lbs without any issues.
  4. Getting a lightweight travel trailer!

Going to keep gear to the absolute essentials only. Not my first rodeo with a travel trailer and have been looking to get back into it. Won't be any stupid long trips nor any mounta Sorry my math stunk there. Lol. The trailer is listed empty as 500kg which is only 1,100lbs not 1,200lbs. Won't...
  5. Getting a lightweight travel trailer!

The truck itself hides a lot of the frontal area of the trailer but I'll be taking it easy no mountains or huge hills mostly flat land.
  6. Getting a lightweight travel trailer!

I am def going to check all that. Seller says he's taken care of those things but will still look for myself.
  7. Getting a lightweight travel trailer!

Got a lucky score in this vintage early 70s 1100lb trailer! Even with a few hundred lbs of gear will be well under the 2,000lb towing capacity for my Maverick hybrid. Am sooo looking forward to get out camping again! EDIT: Naturally the suggested mode is tow/haul. I'll be on relatively flat...
  8. Will the dealer charge me over MSRP

I had ordered a truck but found one on the lot somewhere else. The first dealer DID give me a written agreement. They bucked me a bit when I asked for my deposit back. A phone call to the owner of the dealership cleared that up quick when I told him I'd be doing my service there as it's five min...
  9. Will the dealer charge me over MSRP

When I luckily found my 2023 on the lot the dealer gave me $600 under MSRP. Since it was XLT with lux pkg, moonroof they could easily afford to even if they didn't have to. I was glad to get the small discount though. It paid for most of the first several months of fuel being a hybrid. ;)
  10. My First New Truck

You'll like it. Rides much like the Escape I had ten years ago only get the truck feel on really bumpy roads.
  11. Advice for getting Gaslight by the Dealer ? Warranty denied on multiple items, managers talk in a circle

Yep, and file a complaint with Ford about these idiots. My local dealer isn't even the one I bought the truck from and has been awesome getting my recalls done in the time frames I requested.
  12. Mabett Dash Cubby Insert Set Available Now!

    Ordered mine!
  13. What is the total profit for a Maverick?

Agreed. Especially not a base XL Maverick. And don't forget about used cars. Dealers can really clean up on those.
  14. I have two Ford Mavericks, Lariat or Lariat Tremor. Which one should I keep.

Keep 'em both and ditch whatever second vehicle you have now (if applicable). Lol.
  15. Maverick Party

Since I got mine Aug last year I'm starting to see a few more of them here in Hamilton ON Canada. Used to go weeks even a month or two without spotting one now it's more like every week or two
  16. Maverick makes a good hurricane evacuation vehicle…

Here's to hoping you went far enough. God bless.
  17. Between ordering '25 Lariat AWD Hybrid vs. '24 Lariat Hybrid at the dealer

Get the 25 if you can. That AWD hybrid would be awesome although I'm very happy with my '23 hybrid.
  18. It wasn't a Maverick but the Mercury version

A nice blast from the past is what I thought here folks. Glad you enjoyed it
  19. It wasn't a Maverick but the Mercury version

Was just watching an episode of the first season of The Price Is Right and the contestant won this brand new Mercury Comet. Same car as the original Ford Maverick but with a couple extra bells and whistles.
