If it came down to it, I'd pay extra for a manual. In this day and age, I get it, manuals have their cons as well. For in town driving, stop-n-go lights, short point to point stuff. Then the auto is great, easy, comfortable. And I suspect That is what a very large majority of Maverick owners...
Curious to see how Lobo owners are utilizing the bed on their pickups.
Do you use the bed at all?
Show me what you got!
This was one of the main reasons for my Mav purchase, to move around my dirt bike. (And Mountain bike.)
I have some new moto ramps, first time using them, and finding a place...
Manual 'mode' is OK on the Lobo. Its is NOT a manual trans though.
Lobo needs a 6 speed MT (option).. That wouldn't sell enough to be worth while for Ford, but would make the few 6 MT seekers happy, and truly fall in love with the Lobo.. Yeah yeah, it won't happen, but i won't stop dreaming. lol
My Focus ST had a passenger side fill.
I think my Subaru Forester did too.
First time pulling into the gas station with my Yobo, I wasn't sure which side to go! haha
Whats the calculated MPG?
I had my fuel light (@ 50 miles remaining) come on today, 2nd fuel day is coming soon! Curious to...
Ramps arrived yesterday, bedliner was completed a few days ago.
Finally using the pickup as it should be used. With stuff in the box! :)
So easy to load moto in and out of the low-Bo.
I'd like to see it, but I think I'm set on the forged carbon option. I have some concerns about color matching paint and plastics/vinyls. Especially if exposed to sun and fade may be involved. Maybe its non-issue with these colors/materials, but I've seen some color matching gone wrong before.
Coming from my FoST (on a stock turbo, tuned) - I think that a 'high flow' air filter will handle most of the flow issues (assuming stock turbo). I'd even bet that a larger Intercooler would likely do you more good (even for stock turbo and stock tuning).
As others implied, maybe not once you...
(I meant to post this last night, but didn't hit Send)
Well, I think it at least is ingesting air from somewhere in front of the vehicle by looking at the intake path.
But, I can't confirm where, by looking from the front grille. No obvious intake tube extending in front of the radiator.
The...
Haha I think of it like more 'car' (unibody) than "TRUCK" (body-on-frame) myself as well, at least in the handling department - where the *fun* happens. :) And I also think that's quite fine.
I bought this vehicle for its ability to feel and drive like a car, but with a bed that I can haul...
Here, to bring closure (mostly for myself), I add my reply over here (post #97 if it doesn't take you directly via link): https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/why-new-intake-manifold-design-for-2025-maverick.59549/post-1163850
With pics and labels and such. I hope it helps someone...
Fuel line Q.D. into upper fuel rail (above intake)
Upper fuel rail fuel line and q.d.
Directly below previous image.
Noting the metal fuel line running down the side of the engine to the lower fuel rail.
Side of engine, driver side.
Tracing the route of the metal fuel line along the...
Ill try to post pics to prove, but I'm quite positive I see the lower (blue) rail and the light blue fuel line piping that feeds it
And I can see the upper (purple) rail with a squared off end tank with a fuel line and quick connect going to it.
Making me believe both DI and PI are indeed on...
Oh really? I'm not sure I guess. I knew that GPF was arriving later, and confirmed I don't have that on mine. Is the port injection only related to the GPF equipment?
Thats dissapointing. I was very glad to not have to worry about LSPI on this engine/trans...I guess I'll be sure I keep the Rs...
1st, Xpel ceramic tint and Perma Plate PPF on the complete front end (install at dealer).
2nd, RokBlokz flaps (before I left the lot).
3rd, Line-X spray in.
Waiting on:
- Husky Liners floor mats (still rocking my cardboard custom floor mat for now!)
- Covercraft sunscreen
Considering:
-...
I'll be curious to see how much you catch in that.
I'm actually quite glad that the 2025 has Port injection (+ DI) to keep intake valve side clean at least.
Ty for posting your VB with Black tailgate letters, I'm trying to decide.
I'm leaning towards forged carbon fiber right now. Black looks good, and I think i want to keep that Black+Blue theme, especially with how it matches the blacked out Ford logo.
I just like the subtle difference of the...
