Being assigned a build date is pretty much random. There are a few factors that go into it but none that the average person can decipher. I was one of the unlucky ones to be assigned this late.
Ok thanks. I’m confident if I’m shown pictures of each step I can pull this off. Plenty of time for this to be figured out by the time I get my truck some time in May.
Once this is all perfected is this modification straight forward for the average person with basic hand tools and a laptop? A lot of the technical terms being used here are way over my head but I do have mechanical and some computer skills.

My guess MY23 will have minimal changes. Probably the addition of Eruption Green. Maybe they take away a couple colors the MY22 has to save on costs. Then there will be slight differences in the interior and maybe the Rattler package. The price for all trims and options will no doubt go up.
I emailed my salesperson at the dealership I used with some questions. One of them asking if it’s likely I will be pushed to the 2023 model year. He only answered my first question but not the one about being pushed. I sent another email asking the question again and no reply for almost an hour...
Ordered XLT hybrid 6/14/21 with 360, and luxury package. As well as a few small additions. No build date. Not looking likely I will get the 2022 model before they start production for 2023.
Ordered a hybrid with lux package June 14th 2021. No build date yet. Called the dealership last week. They didn’t give me any information I didn’t already know.

I really want the off road option wheels, but I have the hybrid on order. Not willing to change that. Would anyone be willing to trade standard XLT wheels for these?
So I was watching a YouTube video about the truck and the spokesman pointed out that it has the space and architecture for a second hybrid battery. Is this something that is likely to be an available upgrade from the dealer? He showed this graphic I will post below.
