That's pretty good. That's the same as the Honda CR-V with the 1.5L turbo. For comparison, my 2018 Escape with the 2.5L 168 hp and FWD weighs about 100 lbs less than the Maverick hybrid and still only manages about a 9.2 sec 0-60.

Wonder why the governor kicks in at 109 mph? Why so low? The Escape uses the same engine and 8 speed transmission. The 2.0L Escape's governor is 126 mph, the 1.5L is 122 mph. Did they maybe use a lower gearing on the Maverick? What gives Ford?
