  1. Paint chipping on hood edge (facing windshield)

Agree with everyone else, known issue. A lot of cars have this interference issue with lifted blades, but so common to lift for ice and snow that I wish Midwest based car companies would not allow this to happen. Good news is hood is Aluminum so won't rust but I would put on touchup paint...
  2. RIVAL Aluminum Skid Plate Ford Maverick (non-Tremor)

The factory felt cover on AWD has a plastic air deflector. My understanding is thatvaid cooling of the PTU. This does not have it. Does the factory skid plate have it?
  3. Rail car or vehicle carrier from Dalton, IL to Chapman Horsham, PA?

I can tell you that where I work ships railcars from Dolton to Philly and average trip is 10 -12 days Problem is there are handoffs to different railroads and cars can sit in the yard for days. Good luck! Also BOILER UP! From a '97 alum! I like our chances this year.
  4. Ford.com and FordPass not working today?

Not just Ford, my Honda also would not work earlier today. Wonder if they both use same third party services. Both working now. At least the honda I could start with the fob, 23 Mav had that option deleted due to chip shortage. Of course happens when its 4 degrees outside.
  5. What the heck is this?!

I worked in auto for many years. This is probably vinyl. Vinyl is made with plasticizers to make them soft for auto interiors. These migrate through the vinyl to the surface over time. This is called blooming in the industry and vinyl is well known for it. Ever wonder what that new car...
  6. What ESP Warranty plan did you all go with?

Anyone know if ESP covers carbon build up?
  7. Door handle area panel wavy (poor quality ?)

OP, yes, I see them. Annoys me too. I have always walked around a new car before I sign the paperwork just to look for these type of things, I pretty much only buy black cars so you have to be extra careful. Our Mav has some slight waviness by the handle part which is from the stamping as...
  8. I just purchased some XLT take off's for my XL can I just slap em on ?

Typically the lug is different for a steel wheel vs aluminum. There is usually a taper on the aluminium lug to keep it from digging in to the soft metal. You can probably get aftermarket lugs cheap, I was able to find a full set on ebay a few years ago when I did the same on my Silverado.
  9. Can I expect 10 years of reliable service from 2.0 EB Maverick?

There are a few factors that will decide how long the mav will last. First is how good of a job Ford did in getting everything right. At least here the EB has already went through a revision since introduced so that's a plus. Second is the environment you expose it to, rust belt, towing...
