  1. A Hard cover recommendation - that really folds well to open up all the space when not used

I have the Sentry CT, pretty close to the BAK Revolver. From my experience the main leakage is from the joint on the plastic side rail about 6 inches back from the rear window. I would think any cover that clamps in between the rails (as opposed to fully overtop like a hinged hard cover or cap)...
  2. A Hard cover recommendation - that really folds well to open up all the space when not used

If you don't mind losing the rear view when folded up, either the BAKflip G2 or MX4 will give you essentially full bed access when fully opened. Otherwise a hard roll-up, BAK Revolver or Truxedo Sentry, only take a few inches of space when rolled and still leaver 2/3 of the rear window unobstructed.
  3. Ford to launch Maverick EV (I hope this is true)

EV Lobo would be pretty sweet, and a 480-hp / 634 ft-lb dual-motor Eluminator crate motor setup could be had for under $3,000! https://www.summitracing.com/parts/fms-m-9000-mache May want to upgrade the Mav CV axles a bit first though.
  4. Ford to launch Maverick EV (I hope this is true)

Or find new economical methods for mineral extraction. Plenty of lithium, cobalt and nickel potentially available, but is either too expensive with current extraction methods or environmental impact is unfavorable with existing regulations. Loss of foreign sources could spur investments on both...
  5. Oil is cheap. Engines are expensive [LOCKED DUE TO INSULTING BEHAVIOR BY OP]

Wouldn't say it failed, still ran without any noticeable drop in performance, engine codes or blue smoke and dealer accepted the trade-in. You can only expect so much from a 1st model year - including the MR16DDT engine design, sub-$20k import 4-banger that's over 12 years / 150k miles. Sorry I...
  6. Can you lower the rear to level XLT Hybrid?

I wanted to do the same thing but couldn't find an available solution. Unlike the front end leveling kit to raise it 1" with a spacer block, you would need a new rear spring that gave similar dampening characteristics but at a 1" lower ride height. I ended up just going with the Eibach Pro-Kit...
  7. Oil is cheap. Engines are expensive [LOCKED DUE TO INSULTING BEHAVIOR BY OP]

Can't speak for the Ford 2.0L, but I had a 2011 Nissan turbo 1.6L and changed the oil religiously at 3,750 miles, this was the severe use case with normal recommended being 7,500. The engine started consuming a noticeable amount between changes the last 10k or so before trading it in at 156k...
  8. Does Ford Roof Spoiler route over soft tonneau cover ?

I have the cab spoiler and a hard roll-up tonneau (Truxedo Sentry CT). I can still see the middle bouncing slightly, though not sure if it's from the wind or suspension since I'm lowered on Eibachs that noticeably stiffen the ride. Get it if you like the look but don't count on much performance...
  9. Installed cab fairing and Morimoto 3rd brake light.

Combo looks great. I've got the cab spoiler on my BAP and am thinking about picking up the Morimoto after the Lasfit cargo bulbs burnt out in less than a year. How long did it take you to wire it up? Been reading the other install thread and feel I could do it but would not be happy about it.
  10. 80 mph is top speed on Maverick? [ADMIN WARNING: NO POLITICS. Warnings & Bans Handed Out]

Just in time to see the rear camera fix is now expected to be out sometime in first quarter 2045!
  11. Fuel mileage drop....cold weather?

Noticing a similar drop w/ the hybrid. Normally getting ~42-43 mpg, but with the recent cold snaps below freezing (15 F this morning) it's dropped significantly to 34-38 mpg. Part of it is starting up in the driveway for a few minutes to defrost and warm the inside up, adding to it I have a...
  12. Honda and Nissan to Merge?! What Does This Mean for EVs and ICEs? 🤔 | Lasfit Small Talk

I could see them making use of the Z to fill a hole in the Honda line-up, they haven't had a RWD 2-door since the S2000 or a halfway affordable supercar since the old NSX (current one is $50k more than a GT-R). With the Prelude teased to return in 2026 wondering if there's already an agreement...
  13. Seat covers on a heated seat.

I went with Clazzio seat covers (leather insert, vinyl side panels). I emailed the company before purchase and they confirmed compatibility with factory heated seats. Working well so far one year in, they do take longer to heat up through the extra material but work fine once warm.
  14. P.S.I.Clone - The ST We Wish Ford Had Built

Your Father-In-Law has good taste, now just need to convince him to either lower or level it. Seeing the two side by side really accentuates the rake of the factory suspension, wish Ford had just gone ahead with slightly heavier rear springs to drop it an inch.
  15. What does everyone use their 110v outlet for?

Worked well during a recent camping trip to have hot coffee in the morning, using what seems to be the only < 400W drip pot available, not super great still a solid option for a hot brew in fall / winter camping. Salton 1 Cup Mini Compact Drip Coffee Maker, 10 Oz, Black Also comes in handy to...
  16. CV Axle Replacement DIY How-To (and upgrade to Tremor CV)

Thanks, disappointing to hear it's affecting lowered vehicles as well. I'll keep a closer eye on the boot and bookmark the video if I end up needing to replace, wouldn't be the first vehicle I've had to do them on.
  17. CV Axle Replacement DIY How-To (and upgrade to Tremor CV)

Why did you need to replace them? If lift kits are failing more often by making the CV angle worse, wouldn't lowering help mitigate issues by reducing the angle?
  18. Fog Lights: Essential or Outdated? Let’s Chat About Winter Visibility!🌟

I added the Diode Dynamics as well, what works is a good optical housing with a sharp cut-off and an adjustable beam in the vertical axis. Debatable how much they help in the fog but are more than useful in heavier rain and low light conditions on side roads and off highway driving. What really...
  19. Tariffs on cars trucks built in Mexico [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

Pivot from EV back to hybrid was already the trend before the election, not sure how much a Trump win would affect that. Those who wanted EVs already have them, and until solid state batteries hit the market in quantity I'm not sure how they (the manufacturers) address further cost reductions or...
  20. Why "Lower" or "raise" your Maverick?

Can't speak to lifts but I lowered to reduce the (what I consider) excessive gap between the wheel and the fender. I'm not sure exactly when this trend started with trucks but on a FWD hybrid with only 2k towing the extra suspension travel isn't needed and the gap makes it look like a roller...
