I have the BedRug impact mat and that's the route they went, horizontal slot for the d-rings near the cab. Overall working well, would recommend doing a 3/8" hole on each end of the slot where the D-ring touches the mat otherwise it buldges even after you tuck the d-ring back under.

Thanks for the feedback, finally got the truck on Thursday (post here) Delivered after 9 months - Carbonized Grey XLT Hybrid with BAP. FordPass points came in on Sunday, I went ahead and ordered the new textured one this afternoon. Should look nice matching the factory trim to round out the BAP.

Very happy with it, only thing I wish it had was keyless entry and pushbutton start, even the 2011 Nissan Juke I traded in for it had that available. Didn't want to go over $30k for an entry level truck and wanted the BAP so had to compromise somewhere.
