I really think it just comes down to the shape of the vehicle. My 2006 Scion xB is a rock magnet and currently on windshield #3 with a bit over 65k miles on it. The 2011 Nissan Juke I traded in for the Maverick still had the original windshield at 120k miles, only a small chip that got resin...
Yes, and it's quite confusing as they look almost identical (18, 21 and 24 oz).
I have the 21 oz standard mouth and it fits almost perfect. I believe the 24 oz is too tall and not sure if the wide mouth shoulder would be narrow enough at the top of the door pocket.
They spent good money for a graphic designer to just delete the outer border? At least put some effort into it like Nissan and KIA did.

My only personal experience on the Maverick is with the Mabett PU leather ones. They looked and fit great, but the material texture was too 'grippy' so you couldn't adjust in the seat easily and they don't breathe, making it hot on the shoulder and thighs on long trips. Was able to return...
I ordered a rubber patch like this for my last car after my heel wore through the factory carpet mat. Thinking of doing similar for the Smartliner when it gets bad. You do need to put a hole in the mat to mount the screws through the stand-offs so may not be 100% watertight...
Great idea, we just had harbor freight open up near me last month. I'll keep an eye out, been using The Absorber synthetic chamois, works well and can wring it out to do the whole car but isn't as large and can leave smaller droplets vs. fully dry...
This thread has high potential to derail based on 3D printer preferences in my other hobby groups.
I'll throw my opinions out there but a lot of it will come down to personal preference, experience with printers, how big you're trying to print, and what material.
All3DP has been a pretty...
FYI, here is the amount of play on the hose connector after the throttle body. The white/grey retaining tabs are still fully engaged and it doesn't pull off. Can anyone else with a hybrid confirm this is normal for this connector? There is an o-ring inside the connection.
No update until the Ford service appointment next week on the 14th. I have noticed MPG with the engine running is down in the teens, even under partial (~10%) throttle at 50 mph. It's definitely having an impact on engine performance.
In the interim, the windshield got hit by what looked to be...
Not needed to get in and out and without a roof rack limited utility for reaching external gear. That being said, right now I'm having to use a step ladder to dry the roof and wipe water spots on wash day, it would come in handy for that.
Adding a new thread to the growing list of "the engine control system has detected air leak into engine that should not be present." check engine lights members are experiencing. I'm in a 2023 Maverick XLT hybrid that just delivered in July, 2 months before getting a check engine light has not...
In the XLT at least, cabin isn't that dark. The BAP seats aren't black but a textured grey cloth, and the door and dash inserts keep the lighter grey plastic to break up the darker slate. Upper pillars and headliner stay light tan, so it doesn't feel like you're driving in a submarine like some...
I noticed that too, updated set lists 30 minutes before hyperflash, old ones between 2 - 7 minutes I think. Guess the reduced output also helps with overheating. Might swap at some point, wish I would have waited a month.
Sounds like galvanic corrosion without a dielectric barrier or corrosion inhibitor installed. Will keep an eye out around the hinges, hopefully Ford is using zinc plated bolts.
I thought the hood was aluminum, it's definitely non-magnetic. How is it rusting (unless from any steel mounting bolts / hardware). Can you give details on where you are having the issue?
ordered a few things from Prime Day after I got the production AND built notifications but prior to delivery. Everything else the week after delivery when Ford Points showed up.
There's always seat covers / cushions to address that. One of my previous vehicles was a 2006 Scion xB, about a $14k vehicle at the time, very low end. Seats were expectedly not great, but after adding neoprene covers (Wet Okole in this case) there was a noticeable improvement in comfort. Could...
I got the BAP, compared to the glossy black on the mirror caps and front grill the grey hides the dirt and water spots much better. Only issue I've had is with crushed granite driveways, the blueish dust that gets kicked up sticks out quite a bit, usually do a quick wipe-down with Turtle Wax...
