I have the same phone. I wouldn't consider 5 watt wireless charging good when it it is capable of 25 watt wireless charging. I am now getting that with an aftermarket charger.

Did you have them perform the SSM related to battery drain? They won't do it unless you bring it up since it technically isn't a recall.

No app needed. You need to use Android auto. Make sure it is on your phone and enabled.

If you are referring to the car play section on the far right, I think you tap the bottom right button on the screen if I remember correctly. It was the first thing I tried to figure out as well as it is a waste of space.

Have you tried going into the Aawireless app and adjusting the Wi-Fi settings? You can change the frequency at which it operates to help with signal if you are experiencing issues.
