  1. Must have a rare truck

I've had two Ecoboost Mavericks and both have been mechanically solid. The first one did have some recalls but that's to be expected with any manufacturer these days. None of it had to do with drive components, just cosmetics (with the exception of the airbag recall which was a safety issue.)...
  2. Land Rover Velar 19" Wheels on 2022 Lariat Hybrid

Fits the look pretty well. It's also fitting they happen to be off a Land Rover considering Ford owned them once upon a time.
  3. Thinking of trading in 22 hybrid for 24

Well, considering I'm one of the ones who traded in a '22 for a '24, I can safely say yes, I am very happy with the '24. There are some minor improvements that have been made since launch. For example, there's more sound deadening all thanks to foam pads that are installed in the front door...
  4. Who Says the Maverick Isn't a Real Truck?

I just meant that in a general sense, particularly for the Hybrid owners. I have almost achieved 40 mpg in mine, I topped out at 38.
  5. What's your Maverick hauling in the bed? [Photos Edition]

Just wanted to demonstrate that a Maverick is, in fact, a truck and can do truck things! There's a lot of naysayers out there that say otherwise. They make comments like, "That's not a man's truck!" or "It's just an Escape with a bed!" or like this one that I actually got from a Youtube...

  7. Diode Dynamics fog lights installed!

I'm not usually a fan of lowered trucks but I have to say, this looks fantastic! Great color choice by the way! The truck looks so much cleaner with everything body colored. The foglights are a nice touch. I wonder if Ford will eventually add them from the factory. Maybe for the 25 refresh...
  8. I got 40 mpg with my 2.0 eco boost.

You know, it's not entirely unheard of to achieve 40 mpg with an Ecoboost. My previous Maverick was able to achieve 38 mpg on a highway trip. If I had drove a little longer it probably would've got there. And it was an AWD Maverick mind you.
  9. What's your Maverick mileage and ownership time?

'24 Maverick Lariat FX4 (Hot Pepper Red) Ownership: 1 month Mileage: 644 I only average about 500-600 miles a month but I drive it virtually every day, just not very far. To and from work which is eight minutes away and occasionally out of town. That's it.
  10. You CAN install Lariat headlights & tail lights on XL / XLT Mavericks!

I like the BAP headlights and taillights but don't like the black interior that comes with it. It's too bad these units are so expensive. Or better yet, not standard across the trims. What doesn't make any sense is that on the online configurator, it depicts every trim with LED DRLs. They've...
  11. Happy With My New Maverick

I'm glad you had a great sales experience. Many others were not that fortunate. Nice color too. I almost considered this but I just couldn't pass up my all-time favorite color, Hot Pepper Red. My sales experience was pleasurable as well. Welcome to the club (y)
  12. What do you use to clean the (blue) very sensitive interior plastic with?

303 Aerospace for me. You can find it at any auto parts store like O'Rielly's or Auto Zone. Does wonders for plastics.
  13. All-New 2024 Ranger / Ranger Raptor Deliveries + First Press Reviews Are In

I gotcha. At first it didn't make sense to me to put on order on a vehicle that you had no intention of buying. But, since you get a $500 discount for placing an order and have a healthy relationship with the dealer it makes more sense now. I've been wondering when the new Rangers would...
  14. All-New 2024 Ranger / Ranger Raptor Deliveries + First Press Reviews Are In

If you're not interested in buying it, then why did you order one?
  15. Went old school…. Maverick build on chrome wheels

That could easily fly. Looks nice. I had a Ram 1500 several years ago with chrome wheels and kind of miss them. They're easy to clean and so satisfying to polish
  16. Pros and Cons so far

Eh, not a big deal for me. I just ignore it since it goes away on its own after a little while. I won't dwell on it like some on here.
  17. Pros and Cons so far

I recently got my FX4 a few weeks ago. Essentially the same as yours but in Hot Pepper Red. The pros I couldn't agree more, especially the ride. I can tell you that there is a noticeable difference in ride quality compared to a non-FX4 Maverick as I traded one in for this one. The upgraded...
  18. Well is it totaled??

Usually when accidents involve suspension, it may as well be totaled. The costs of parts alone are not enough to justify repairs. You're better off letting insurance take over and finding a new one. It's a shame this happened to begin with, especially since it wasn't your fault. I've noticed...
  19. Refresh Maverick spy pics - larger display screen and off-road tires

Well, although it's caused some controversy, I'm just glad that they didn't go the way of the new Ranger and gave it a vertical touchscreen. The horizontal is much easier to look at and less distracting. That is if they didn't fully replace the physical knobs and incorporate everything into...
  20. New Maverick Recall - pinched fuel tank joint (affects 271 units, production dates January 19-26, 2024)

This probably explains why my build got delayed for a couple of weeks. I was originally scheduled to be built within the week of Jan. 15 which is right in line with this new recall. I wouldn't get a "built" confirmation until Feb. 1 and when I checked my order tracker, it said that it was...
