Sorry for your loss as well, I saw your post with the Lexus š. Believe it or not Carvana actually ended up purchasing mine off of me in its damaged condition. Body shops in my area are booked out until mid-February, and since Im self employed and this was my work truck I couldnāt wait that long...
Believe me that is one of the first things that I will be getting, Iām generally not crazy about their looks, but if it saves me the hassle of dealing with insurance again then it is well worth it
Well unfortunately my Maverick has moved on to greener pastures after colliding with Bambi doing 55mph. So my new truck is gone and I have moved up in size to a 2022 F150 4x4 with the 3.3 V6. I will miss my little Maverick, but I do really love my new ride. Iāll still be lurking around these...
Yeah Iām not exactly sure that he was fully grown, but he had a pretty substantial body. His head was about level with mine sitting in the drivers seat, since we both got to stare each other in the eyesā¦.briefly š
It did not, no alert on the dash and I was the only one that applied the brakes, the truck didnāt intervene at all except for the ABS engaging after I stabbed the brake pedal
Yeah the parts availability has me curious as to what insurance will do. If itās totaled Iāll likely move on to an F-150 since I donāt have time to wait for an order again. Our local dealership stocks loads of XL and XLT F-150ās
Yep I had co-pilot 360, and I loved that feature. Especially when backing out of a parking spot in a crowded parking lot, the rear cross traffic alert worked so great!
Interestingly the forward collision warning didnāt even notice the deer. Itās alerted me several times when a car in front of...
Yeah I was able to stab the brake pedal for maybe half a second before I hit him. My dog slept through the whole thing in the back seat. It just sounded like hitting a large speed bump at high speed, no airbags were deployed. Iām not sure if they would normally with an animal, but Iām glad I...
Yep Iām self employed and it is my work vehicle, fortunately my business insurance covers loss of income, or at least a percentage. Which may or may not be a deciding factor for them to total it, and save them paying me for months while itās in the shop.
Well I am now in the club of damaged Maverickās unfortunately. I was driving on a rural highway last night and collided with a deer. The speed limit was 60mph and the deer jumped out about 50ft in front of me before meeting the front end of my truck. They really do just stand there and stare at...
I was advised against using my Maverick to tow my boat. So mine lives in a marina year round
I do tow my dinghy for my boat around as well as my jet ski, the AWD does the boat ramps well
Frankly if you werenāt expecting delays, then you didnāt do research on what you were buying. Ford was over 2 years behind on the Bronco, get over yourself and do more research next time so you know what to expect. Ford would love to send you your Maverick, but a lot of things are out of their...
Donāt install it crooked like I did that my best advice š¤Ŗ. Granted mine isnāt too lopsided only about 1mm difference on each side, but it drives my ocd crazy. I did use masking tape along the top edge so I could align it and flip it back to peel the tape.
As the previous poster mentioned...
Have you ever had to use your YAA warranty? I was just quoted $2600 for 6 years/150k mi through YAA for my Mav and am just curious how the process works. Do they pay the dealership directly or do they reimburse?
If I only did a 5 mile sample size on my AWD EcoBoost I could post a picture of my Mav getting over 70 mpg going downhill as well š
You need to get a 5,000 mile average for me to believe the nonsense claims or clickbait that people post.
I have 40k on the odometer and average 24.5mpg with...
Yep I used a multimeter and wasnāt getting any 12v out of the pigtail. Took it in to the dealership and it turned out to be a blown fuse. I checked all my fuses and couldnāt find one that was blown, so Iām assuming itās on some oddball circuit.
