Speaking of deliveries and such, I just received an email from Ford telling me my Alto Blue MY22 has an ETA of between Oct 12th and 18th. So hang in there, miracles really do happen and your MY23 will, in fact, be delivered. I would be encouraged by the super short ordering window for the MY23's...
Not necessarily, Ford can build a loaded Lariat just as fast as stripped down econobox XT. Although the more things you add the more likely one of your add-ons will be a constraint item.
I wouldn't order anything that you could source from the dealer or after-market — no floormats, no mudflaps...
I don't think I'll go to the trouble of mounting one of those just to use it once or twice a year but, DAMN, I'd sure like to have one when I wanted to use it. I'd probably get sued for giving some napping senior or texting teen a heart attack.
Where did you put the button? That seems like a...
In order to make that dream come true, you would have to know that much about every Ford product including the commercial vehicles, the performance cars, the SUVs & crossovers, and all six different trucks. Really, it's no wonder we know more about the Maverick than a typical salesperson. This...
Yeah, it looks like a proper truck to me. Maybe a little too big for my itsy-bitsy garage but I don't need a monster truck to feel validated. I'm looking forward to having a (more or less) full-size back seat but I could get comfy with a jump seat and a larger bed too.
My poor 77-year-old eyeballs just aren't used to looking at bronze wheels yet. I admit it's a good look and would be especially nice with a blue Lariet, but I'm still having a hard time understanding that wheels don't have to be chrome.
I agree. I too have a VIN and a build week (three actually) and am looking forward to having a TRUCK. I don't own a ranch in west Texas or live at the end of a logging road in upper Michigan so this is all the truck I need or want and it looks like a proper truck to me.
I think the rear offset license plate is kind of cool.
If I were to get cranky about license plates it would be the one at the front. Wouldn't ya think there could be a properly designed spot for a plate rather than just having it hang off the bumper like a pimple on your nose?
What Scott said. Six to eight weeks for delivery after it rolls off the assembly line is a common answer and nobody seems to spend any time disputing it, but every truck is different. How lucky do you feel?
A hybrid drive train is more important to me than AWD, so I was glad to order what Ford was actually offering rather than wait for something they may never offer. If an AWD hybrid ever comes out I'll be the first kid on the block to order one but I'll bet my front-wheel drive truck will have 50K...
