I live in the deep South so bugs are just a thing. I use the bug removal Rain-X windshield fluid. It doesn't prevent bugs, but it does help keep it cleaner once you hit them.
I can't say I hit more bugs than usual but I haven't had a sedan since I got rid of my Neon in 2005.
F-Series (486,396) vs Tundra (88,507)
Ranger (38,951) vs Tacoma (157,298)
Maverick (98,078) vs <TBD> (0)
Total Ford: 623,425
Total Toyota: 245,805
So, yes, Toyota is selling more non-Tundra trucks than Ford is selling non-F-Series trucks. However, considering Ford appears to be taking an "oh...
Do you find the shower/toilet combo useful or do you not bother with the shower? I would imagine it would work great for rinsing off but not for a full shower.
It appears you decided to keep it.
Honestly, when I think about getting rid of my Maverick, I pull out the most recent statement and look at trade-in values. Usually putting that and the replacement in a calculator ends that inquiry. I just don't feel like starting over with a new loan at this...
My goto response for people asking why I have a small truck: "I'm compensating."
Then I leave. If they get it, it is a great joke. If they don't get it, they weren't worth the braincells to argue with them.
Offer a Platinum trim with BlueCruise, vented seats, Android Automotive, and active dampening suspension. Maybe even a V6 (since the engine bay is more than large enough).
Basically, give those of us willing to splurge a little a nicer option without having to go up to a larger truck. Since we...
I wasn't commenting on the audio quality. We use Apple Music and it is not available as a native Android Automotive app, so I use carplay when I want to listen to music.
While I get the sentiment, I think the whole "electrical infrastructure" thing is overblown. If the grid can handle the addition of 100+ homes (needing to use A/C nonstop from March to October) in a single neighborhood over the course of a year, it can handle me plugging in a truck once a week...
If it is compelling enough, maybe. I'm not overly concerned about range as wife and I will take the Expedition on trips. But for local "truck stuff," I'm fine with an EV Maverick-sized truck if it looks like a truck. Price and immature tech are what has kept me out of the Lightning.
Maybe it was a sales technique, but since replacing an LED headlamp alone would almost cause the warranty to break even, I ended my streak of no extended plans. I just treat it like auto insurance; you spend it without actually hoping to need to use it.
With the Expedition, I even got the...
It uses the Sync maps and sign recognition. Unfortunately, I have found the intelligent cruise to be unsafe. It will correctly set the speed to I-65 in Birmingham to the legal speed limit of 60 MPH. Unfortunately, that will get you completely run over. In the vehicle that has it, we turned that...
I have stated for a while that the Bronco Sport is what the Escape should have become. Escape started as a small SUV and turned into a hatchback. If Escape would have stayed a small SUV, then it likely would have morphed into what became the Bronco Sport.
You might actually want to look into...
My local Ford dealership will actually help process private sales for no fee. Their thought process being if they help you sell your car, there is an increased change you buy the replacement while you are there. Plus, as I've said before, they make most of their money in the garage anyway.
