I made a rudimentary calculator based off of Ford's towing guide on MS Excel, and I will attach it here if you are interested in playing around with that to figure out how much exactly you can tow and haul. The calculator is currently set up for a '22 Hybrid XLT with lux package, and depending...
Ford has a pretty in-depth towing guide if you want to be really precise with what exactly your Maverick can tow.
Here is a Maverick towing summary: https://www.ford.com/cmslibs/content/dam/brand_ford/en_us/brand/cpo/pdf/2023_Ford_Maverick_Towing_Info_Dec16.pdf
Here is the full 2022 towing...
There are a lot of car manufacturers phasing out AM radios in cars and trucks nowadays...
I think that one of the big reasons that this is happening is because the electrical systems in electric vehicles tend to produce more electrical interference in the AM band, causing static, hissing, high...
For sale: one set of two bed side rails, each with one adjustable tie down cleat and two end caps.
$230, Shipping through UPS included in price!!!
These two bed side rails were lightly used and came off of my Maverick when I replaced them with box strut channel. I reused the mounting hardware...
I have not personally had Deep Sleep issues with this OBDII dash camera. I will be changing the camera's timer and sleep settings to stay active longer as I become more comfortable with the camera, but it seems to be very cautious with 'vehicle-off' battery draw in its most conservative settings.
I also recently installed a ring car cam in my hybrid Maverick.
-Installation:
I liked the ease-of-installation and the simplicity of the unit. Power is supplied via OBDII adapter, and the power cable gets routed up and along the side of the dashboard, and then tucked down in the gap behind the...
In my experience with my Maverick so far, I have only had my truck sit long enough to enter deep sleep once. I was waiting on replacement parts and my truck was sitting on the lot at my local dealership for a few weeks, and my truck went into deep sleep after two weeks. I basically drive every...
I would like to install the new Ring Car Cam in my Hybrid Ford Maverick, but I was a little concerned when I saw that it is designed to wire directly into the ODB2 port. I recall there being issues with OBD2 adapter dash cameras specifically with the Hybrid, and was unsure if there would be...
I have been having the same issue with my truck. Glad to see that Ford has service bulletins regarding this transmission on other similar vehicles. I will be emailing my service department today!!
Congratulations on receiving your truck! I am also a recent college grad; I bought my truck at MSRP, and I am really excited that even after 8 months and 20,000 miles, KBB still puts its value at more than I paid for it! Definitely feels like a steal. (y)
Update on the situation:
- I got my Maverick back, total cost of repairs including what insurance paid was about $2500. This was for a new exhaust assembly from the catalytic converter flange to the back of the truck, new exhaust clamps, two new rear brake lines, new brake fluid, and labor. The...
Does the tailgate damper prevent tailgate "bouncing" when driving with the tailgate down? I went over a speed bump forgetting my tailgate was down, and I just about cried the tailgate slammed so hard, LOL
I drive 750 - 1000 miles a week all highways going 65-70mph, and I average about 42 mpg in my hybrid Maverick.
As for inclement weather and snow, I drove my Civic in about 5 inches of snow and could make it home, so I expect the Maverick should do at least as well. Of course, NJ doesn’t get...
I finally decided on a protection scheme for my exhaust!
I purchased a "Cat Strap" and will attach it to the exhaust pipe after the catalytic converter flange, and before the auxiliary heater. I am purchasing it from https://www.catstrap.net/ .
It feels a little silly to protect a resonator...
Over 12,000 miles since March and still loving the Maverick!!!
I really like the heated seats because they heat up much quicker than other cars I have ridden in. The hottest setting is great for lower back pain, too.
My truck says it's getting a little over 42mpg, and hand calculations say I...
@Buschur , thank you for your response! If I had your level of skill in building awesome performance vehicles, I would probably not be driving a hybrid either! :D At the very least for the EB Maverick, glad to hear that the truck would still be able to perform well without the secondary cat.
I appreciate everybody's suggestions and input on the situation! I am planning on discussing options with my dealer and the local police, and will let you know what I end up doing.
Thanks again, and stay safe!!
Caleb
@Buschur , does the Hybrid also have two cats, or is that a resonator before the auxiliary heather underneath the truck? I have looked online and through the forums, and cannot seem to find a definitive consensus.
Thanks,
Caleb
