  1. Hybrid fuel mpg

Here is my mpg from 1/31/24 to last week. 22 hybrid xl (for $21.5k!!) 87 octane always. Mostly rural roads, 40-60 mph, hills everywhere, some highway. So decent mpg is achievable, but only with my style of driving in my area (Poconos, btw) That’s one reason these comparisons are so hard. It’s...
  2. FordPass disabling functions because of low battery

Very humble of you. I appreciate that. But no need to shut a thread down!! I read the forum every day and really enjoy hearing experiences, solutions, opinions ect. yes, this is a much talked about problem, but it’s good to keep talking about it, for at least two reasons: are people still...
  3. Ecoboost minus the turbo?

Turbocharging an engine includes engineering for very complex laws of physics. A forced induction engine is very different from a normally aspirated engine. Turbos, in essence, increase the thermal efficiency of an ICE. Much power is lost to heat generation in an ICE. The turbo harnesses that...
  4. Mystery switches.

    Thank you!!!
  5. The Maverick set free to run!

Yikes!! Fear and loathing in San Diego.
  6. Sad Maverick Owner. So mad at Ford...

It would be nice if the op responded to this. I tend to agree that there are details missing. This is an extreme example with just enough details to make us all angry and respond as we are, but not enough details to fully understand what’s going on. Without further input from the op, I don’t...
  7. Rear locker engaged at 60mph

So it sounds like a limited slip, not a true locker, correct?
  8. Color Matched Slotted Steelies for Snow Wheels

Love it. Looks great. Like the slot effect with a simple mask while spraying.
  9. A open letter to @Ford Motor Company regarding issues

I think the op means a passenger with a cup of coffee poised to take a drink when the brakes grab. I’m used to it, but it is abrupt!!
  10. Updated - 2nd vehicle to pair with Maverick Hybrid, $10k budget.

Here’s my 2nd vehicle. 65 mpg, lots of fun, but can’t help with the corgis!
  11. Hybrid screen

Have my maverick since 8/22. Just found the ev coach today!! (At 11k miles) You are 100% correct. I love it and will use it daily to boost my mpg.
  12. *Proceed With Caution* Hybrid, Which oil to use?

A true land mine issue, as you say. Some have replied, even in this string, that it’s a waste of money to change oil sooner than recommended by the maintenance minder or mileage/time stated in the owners manual. Others, again even in this string, that 200k plus miles is achieved thru more...
  13. Poll, Hybrid owners with NO problems

22 xl, delivered 8/21/22, 10,500 trouble free miles
  14. My one year and 21k miles later review

Although, saw a few other posts and cruise control does require the appropriate switches on the steering wheel, and adaptive cruise control requires that additional radar unit, so not as simple as “turning it on”. anywho, op, nice write up. My wife agrees with you about the seats. I’m at 10k...
  15. My one year and 21k miles later review

It’s a programming thing, not mechanical. As the poster said, the 2022 xl did not offer cruise control at all, although, copilot 360 has cruise control imbedded in the code. But Ford decided not to “turn it on” in the 2022 xl. I think to try to get more people to buy the xlt. I too have a 2022...
  16. Mabett Mud Flaps for Maverick Available Now!

Just went on Amazon and it says “all eligible products for this promotion are currently unavailable “ Sure. Figures. Another internet disappointment.
  17. Best "small truck" insults!?

    Love it!!!
  18. Best "small truck" insults!?

I thought this string was silly, now it has 14 pages! I also did not think I would encounter such a (stupid, closed minded, petty, small minded, ect) person to insult my truck. Tonight I was proved wrong. Insult: “that’s not a bed. It’s a cot.”
  19. E-CVT and HYBRID/ENGINE FACTS

I wonder if the op is a native English speaker. I too find the postings difficult to follow due to grammatical structure mainly and spelling secondary. As the facts seem to be in question and most possibly erroneous, it makes the post all that much harder to follow. I appreciate the replies that...
  20. Mabett seat covers installed photos

Isn’t it the idea to put replaceable seat covers on a seat so that when they wear thru, it’s cheaper to replace them than to reupholster the seat itself? Replacing worn thru seat covers seams easier than removing and reupholstering the seat itself, no?
