Makes perfect sense. What they ask is important. Yes, ford is an iconic American brand. But as a car guy, that’s not enough for me in particular. But I get where the conclusion comes from.

Jmjb might have hit the nail on the head. Had the exact same thing happen to my 22 hybrid xl. There is a check valve of some sort in the gas fill neck. It must be electronically controlled. Mine stuck closed. Threw a code on the dash (can’t remember which) The valve “fixed” itself at the next...

When I plug my phone in (iPhone) I have no access to the fm radio. No clue how to gain such access. So I just listen to pandora or Sirius thru the phone. I’d be curious to learn if there is a way to get the radio to work when my phone is plugged in.

I had an Izuzu hombre (s-10) with a full ladder rack. 20’ trim no problem! But the bed extender is for occasional long loads now. No need for overhead racks. But I agree that they are very helpful. This particular load was too heavy for an overhead rack, though.

It actually did, a bit! But I was going fairly slow most of the time!!

22 xl hybrid loaded with 330 board feet of hickory. 12’ long pieces, reported (by lumber guy) to weigh 1200lbs. I think it was less, but still one of the heaviest loads Ive carried! About 30 miles on rolling country roads, 20-45mph. I certainly felt the load, but the maverick did quite well.
