This is an F150 wing from EGR 360. It has the correct aero shape.
Here is the Maverick Aero Design one:
The flat one is a simple wing.
The upward sloping one is designed to increase downforce at the cost of drag. That works for racing as then you can put more power down from the engine to...
This was after driving through some rain. The main areas water got in are the bed rail gaps on the left and right sides. If you look at your truck and follow the plastic on the sides of the bed you will see what I am talking about. This bed cover has a foam strip that sits on top of the...
We just want it to be more like the Maverick. Not a 3 row Bronco Sport. Not a 3 row Escape. Not a Flex.
3 row Maverick.
We don't want different styling. We don't want a different interior theme. We don't want it to move up a class. We want the same vehicle (Maverick) from the front bumper to...
We don't have a good wing for the cab. The aero design one slopes upward and increases the frontal area which increases overall drag. The simple wing, as in the article, is a flat extension of the cab roof over the third brake light area. A few of the new trucks have this design. Silverado is...
I would be looking strongly at a "Mavan" for the primary family hauler. 6 seats for occupancy. 4 with a large, covered cargo space. Flat roof with roof rack support for the rare, but nonzero, times I need cargo space and passenger space.
I would be able to commonize my spare parts and...
Probably not going to be an "affordable" price.
Most likely they just made what used to be considered a "mid trim interior" the lowest level by simply not offering anything lower. Expect the price to match up more so with mid tiers from the past.
The slower you go, the less impact frontal area is going to have. In this situation you are going to have lighter weight with increased drag. So less of the trailer pushing you downhills to higher speeds and more of the trailer dragging you and holding you to lower speeds.
Seems like a good...
My red T3s hyper flashed (sometimes) before any recalls were done. Their behavior didn't change after the recalls.
Doesn't bother me though. I know they are working.
I was thinking more for low speed off roading stuff where the instant torque would be appreciated. Battery would last a long while in that use case. Doing it this way allows for the Tremor AWD unit to be fed by instant torque, with minimal re-engineering.
Thats what I was curious about. How ready did Ford make this spot for a 2nd battery? Looks like that might have been considered early in development but discarded farther along the process. Curious to see if they have something planned that frees this space up later.
At this point a list of the XL standard features would be good to go through. Seeing what could be cut without having to design a replacement. Simply removing a feature and part would actually help speed up the assembly process and would skip the R&D. Removing cruise control is a good example...
They already have a spot for one without taking any usable space away. I am curious to see if the AWD used this space.

I think that tried to make the AWD as close to the EB as possible. Maybe some of the Tremor stuff will find its way into the hybrid? That spot for a 2nd battery open still? Electric torque and AWD make for some great low speed off-roading options.
I bet the fender hole has something to do with quality checks on the assembly line. Hard to torque check those bolts otherwise.
There is some air that finds its way over there so a vent would allow it to exit.
How does the 2.5L handle the 0.5mg/mi PM requirement? Do they test just the engine? Does it get a pass because it produces 0 when on electric? Is the Atkinson cycle that much more emissions friendly?
How would the hybrid cope with regen?
How does regen work with stop start?
