There is probably a good set of shocks that would make a difference my maverick has the fx4 shocks and you don't feel anything in/on the road. I occassionally deliver with my job's gmc 2500 and it isn't even close. It rides more like my boss's cadillac.

You might be able to silicone seal it with a little aquarium grade silicone you'd probably need a plastic clamp but i don't know how well that would work being where it is . No window seal problems on my side windows yet but my sunroof leaks. I think ford must've assumed the sunroof would leak...

Do you have fwd or awd. I would think it should come with all models. I think it is used to get the cover off a panel to manually disengage the electronic parking brake (put it in neutral) when the battery is completely dead or some other malfunction so it is movable for towing.
