Most of TFL tests of AWD systems is for living in Colorado. A lot of hills that get slippery with snow and ice. Simply turning into an icy inclined driveway could be a challenged. I wouldn't have those problems here in Mobile, Alabama. But I can imagine that would be an issue up north.
